I'm a homer that is for sure but I understand that J Hardy has been overlooked and will be again. I think he will drop and fly under the radar. Hopefully the Panthers will get lucky and can grab him at a discount!

Erik Highsmith and J Hardy were an awesome dou at West Craven.

that is a good high school duo. but how old is Hardy, because Highsmith been out of school for a while.

Hardy is solid, but i just would rather see him in a WCO.

Haven't seen too many people saying Hardy is a 2nd rounder but I've read draft sites projecting him in the third.

You yourself said getting him in the third would be a steal. Wouldn't that mean in your mind he's a 2nd round pick. I'm confused.

I think it would be a steal because I think he's going to be a very good pro.

I don't really expect him to go in the second.

The last time I felt this good about a player was Luke Kuechly.  JUST SAYIN

I think he would be a great selection in the 5th. I feel you though. Some think James Sample is a 5th and I believe he's a 3rd. Happens.

    • One thing I didn’t consider is how thin this draft is at quarterback. That’s going to drive up the market for backups and borderline starters like Willis, Jones, and Jameis Winston. Because of that, we’ll most likely be priced out of the market for this tier of backup.
    • We've already beat the #1 seed twice, why not one more? (Packers and Rams were both #1 seed at the time we played)
    • My determination has come down to this. Based on recent QB history, has Bryce's improvement warranted 50m per season? Lamar is the only original team QB to play on his 5th year. The others took major deals at the end of the 3rd, before or just after the option was signed. Chances are, we're getting asked for the same.  I haven't rooted for Bryce to fail. I've rooted for him to succeed so big that them signing that extension would give me no worries about our future at QB at all. We haven't seen that level of play consistently that this year. We haven't seen it in the past 6 games.  We're about to be at a threshold with Bryce and I worry about what this front office will do. We have a history of bad decision making and Morgan has been part of that group making those decisions. I don't want Carolina in the same boat Arizona and Miami are right now. It has nothing to with being right. It has to do with wanting to win for more than a single season. We've never had back to back winning seasons. Faith in their abilities is not warranted at this point.
