Hornets officially locked into 9th worst record

The main thing is that none of us know who in the organization is responsible for what. Sure, Cho does hold the GM title, but maybe Clifford pushed for signings and MJ had Cho get them done. Cho, Cliff, and MJ are very much a team with these decisions, and I assume they influence each other. Cho could be at fault, but we don't know for sure how much his decisions are influenced.

Biz was Cho's pick.. he thought he was the next Serge Ibaka

Kemba was MJ's pick.. Mike loves a Champion and Kemba just won the Tourney carrying the team..

i dunno who really chose MKG (i wanted Harrison Barnes at the time, BTW)..

Zeller was Cho's pick..

Vonleh was an obvious choice when he fell to us at 9..

Was vonleh really an obvious choice at 9 or did the other 8 teams see in workouts that he was overhyped as a top 5 selection? Besides, we had no room for him at power forward and would have been better off dealing zeller because two top ten picks on one position is not necessary.

Not just a Hornet problem, but an overall NBA problem: too many teams are drafting on potential.

I look at some of these guys who were drafted in the lottery, and are currently stinking it up in the league, and think of he would've played a few years in college, he would be a lot better.

Harris' 19% 3 point percentage, 2 years, $3.1 million > Stephenson's 17% 3 point percentage, 3 years, $27 million.

Worst 3 point shooting season in NBA history, I hope Lance enjoys that honor it will be a while before that is rivaled I bet.

Speaking of, at some point I am going to post a by-the-numbers stat analysis thread for this season. Probably tomorrow or Friday. My research hasn't went well for us unfortunately....

My favorite: Paul George needs one or two made threes tonight to pass Lances total for the entire season.

    • He can’t.  Not by NFL standards.  More than enough evidence at this stage to make that determination.  For even a chance at one Bryce has to get perfect look and that’s not NFL football.  Bryce’s ball placement and accuracy are horrible downfield.  That applied at Bama.  Bama WRs just had room to adjust.  Bryce defenders just repeat this lie about his Bama deep ball.  NFL balls have to be well placed to dudes only NFL open.  Countless plays for years where dudes are NFL open downfield and Bryce just lets the DB have just as good as a shot at it or takes the WR out of bounds.  It’s not a debate.  Dudes flat out open this year on repeat.  He can’t make the throws.  So the talk about not having speed is auto debunked and a distraction.  Open is open and Bryce has gotten the looks
    • In 2021, Young only completed 10 passes of 20 yards or more, resulting in a 36.1% completion rate on such throws, according to AL.com. This was significantly less than other Alabama quarterbacks like Mac Jones in 2020 (29 completions, 58%) and Tua Tagovailoa in 2018 (24 completions, 57.1%).
    • False. During his best statistical season at Alabama, Bryce completed only 36.1% of passes longer than 20 yards. For comparison, his two predecessors Mac Jones and Tua had respectively completed 58% and 48.6% of throws longer than 20 yards.
