Two Weeks from today

Was listening to Jamie Dukes yesterday on the radio and he Infatically stated.... "No! No more 1st round running backs for Carolina. You've had your share. This is about surrounding Cam with the weapons. Getting him protection. The defense is fine.

We're going to pay Cam alot of money this year. I totally believe that this draft is about him....

He what now?  Is "emphatically" the word you were going for there?

Glaring hole at #2 WR. Uncertainty at both tackle positions. Uncertainty at safety. Uncertainty at WLB.

Comfortable at RB. Just let go of one of the two RBs that was massively taking money from our cap.

Lets draft another 1st round RB.

One injury away from Fozzy at RB, and with Stew's cap hit not much better than Deangelo's you have to figure his days here are numbered as well.

Like it or not, Gurley would be the BPA at 25.

And what about if Cam gets injured?

Byron Bell is gone, and Cam was at his best when Stewart was taking pressure off the pass game.

We solidified the guard position with a UFA and a 3rd rounder. We have more than just one draft pick, and this is a deep tackle class.

Don't want Strong or any other WR outside the top 3 in the first round.

Don't mind Fisher, but would prefer Flowers, if available.

Preston Smith would be a good pick. Him or Arik Armstead are my top 2 defensive lineman that may be available at 25.

Edit: oops, wrong thread.

In the same segment he said their "are no" OTs in the draft then at the end said we needed to take an OT. He's a clueless fool that does not have our interest at heart.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
