Anybody You Looking Forward To Seeing Thursday Night

Really doubt starters play past the 1st quarter

1. Jason Cherry. Haven't seen him since the first game. So he's going to get his chance Thurs.

2. Everrett Brown. He's been improving game by game. Would like to see if he's improved once again

3. Larry Beavers. He so fast, you see that he is fast, but if you was told how fast he was moving, you would still be shocked. But NFL is different than college. Might return some kicks, we'll see

4. Our new DT, Louis Leonard if he plays. Would like to see what kind of push he gets up front

And the usual, you know who they are

I'm looking forward about as much as I have been for the first three.

Last year was a pleasant surprise, thanks mostly to the emergence of the run game.

With Fox's history of keeping pre-season games simple, I don't expect to see anything worth paying much attention to.

unless the defense plays lights out I think Fox will be forced to play them a tad more than he would normally like.......botton line is (no matter how much wishful thinking is done) if you can't get it done on a practice field it ain't gonna happen when it counts. these guys need real work and this the last time they get to "work on things" before the L's start to count.

I will be interested to see where Leonard plays and for how long. I would bet that he doesn't start but he will get time with the one's assuming they play. If the one's play I'd like to see the offense at least get a field goal and it would be nice to see the defense get some pressure and force a three and out.

Other players I look forward to seeing are Kenneth Moore (hope he gets to return some punts), Barnidge (he didn't have a catch or a target last week), Martin (see how he is doing at safety), and Munnerlyn (I think if he can make a big play at corner he might get the nickel job).

    • Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
    • It is goofy how some people hate Bryce so much that they're flat out lying to try and remain entitled to their pessimism. It's insanity. Most fans are realists and eagerly awaiting the season to see if we get pre- or post-benching Bryce to start the season and how much he is able to do with some young and developing weapons. Many of us understand that these young guys are going to have growing pains on the job as well as the new defense, but the fans with all of the excuses for why Bryce can't be successful are pounding the no excuses drum. Personally, I'd prefer the Keep Pounding drum.
    • Just like we overpaid for Wharton.
