What's best for Cam

Recommended Posts

You don't get it do you?! JR is a old holier than thou individual set in his ways. You could get JR in a time machie to the hall of fame in 20 or however many years in the future and DGB could be a HOFer and JR would still not allow it. That's why Im longing for a new owner

the stupid is strong with you...

Even tho you are an emotional train wreck at times, I don't hate you! We are all in this for life! Well most of us anyway. You will be gone within 7 years!

Dude I was here for Collins , Frank Wright, Steve B, Jake, Rodney, St. Peire, Testaverte, and Clausen. . I'll be here longer than you..

Neither team had any decent WRs! Point Blank, Seattle would have won with a run. New England oddly won with a defensive play!

Three teams you listed put on very above their regular season defensive performance in the playoffs. Something you hope to hear her say one day, "The D got hot when it mattered"

I hated Hurney, I like Gmans talent evaluation and ability to build a team. No, I don't believe he will always be right but he is better than the Cam fanboys.

I think Cam is uberly talented and affords us the luxury of not needing pro bowlers at every offensive position, matter of fact, he affords us the opportunity to build a monster defense

They both had and still have better receivers than we do, and Edelman is pretty damn good.

So your discrediting the entire regular season performance for a few playoff games? LMAO

What's Ironic both the pats and ravens D were still giving up 22 PPG in the playoffs which is mediocre at best.

Since Cam has been drafted we have taken a WR in the first 2 rounds ONCE, we have never signed a big name free agent, we have gone defense with the majority of the early picks. So how exactly have we helped him?

the ignorant comment was directed at the board as a whole. however, you were the one who said that drafting DGB would be the only thing that makes up for drafting Thompson. lets reason this out... the Panthers aren't drafting Thompson. and Gettleman isn't going anywhere any time soon. so either you dont bitch about what you can't change and let it go, or you find another team to cheer for until the Gettleman era is over.

not trying to piss you off JawnyB. just making a point. it's been made so I'll let it go.

The "on a serious note" part was indicating that what came before it was a joke.

They are getting him DGB today

I can dream until he is unavailable or passed up by the Panthers. I can see it now. DGB in the second and La'el Collins in the third. Hahaha. Can you guys imagine the reaction by the media and especially the huddle? Unfortunately I don't believe Jerry's heart could survive that.

A defensive unit that can make all the hard stops and create turnovers with defensive scores will/can do just as much, if not more, than any offensive weapon. Taking pressure off Cam to make the big play allows him to play better.....the way he does in the first half of most games.

So stop with the "this doesn't help Cam" crap

IGNORANT THREAD.

Drafting defense to "help" a QB who doesn't have much on offense to begin with is saying you have so little confidence in that QB that surrounding him with top caliber offensive talent wouldn't even be enough for help him.

P.S. You started this thread so you can save your comebacks after they draft an offensive player.

Girl stop crying. If you look I didn't say anything was wrong with it, I'm cool with having upstanding characters on our team. However every once in a while you'll have to deal with a high profile guy with a past, or at least potentially take the gamble. That's what life is as well, giving second chances.

But you yourself can't say it's just football and want choir boys. Because if it's "Just football" nothing else matters.

Always love when someone contradicts their own argument

Russell Wilson just got Jimmy Graham added to the offense he already had.  Remember?

Bro I was talking about Russell Wilson beating the Panthers top 10 defense 2 yrs in a row it doesn't matter how good a defense is when your in the playoffs you have to be balanced if you want to win the Superbowl.

You mean like the Seahawks were against the Broncos, the Ravens against the Giants and the Bucs against the Raiders?

What are you talking about ???? The game tape and the record doesn't lie what holing the Panthers back from advancing deep into the playoffs.

You don't know what I'm talking about? Oy

Basically I just posted three examples (and there are plenty more) to show how your 'balance' theory doesn't hold water.

Plenty of Super Bowl champions have been heavy on one side of the ball and only average (at best) on the other.

But even accepting the premise, we drafted a receiver in the second (traded up to do so) and still have several more picks.

Final result: Pretty much none of what you're arguing here holds up.

Your Theory is flawed also, none of the those teams also had bottom dewelller offfense.

Ravens won with Joe Flacco and Ray Lewis  beating a top notch 49rs unit

Patriots won the Superbowl against the Seahawks with a top offense and top 15 defense.

Panthers road to the  Superbowl goes through the  some top notch defense and the only way to beat them is to outscore them not out defend them

Plus why would not want to build a top notch offense when you have QB like Cam it would sort of "arrogant"

You do realize that to "outscore" a team, it helps to be able to stop them from scoring, right? (ask the Colts)

The Ravens example I cited was when they beat the Giants. That offense went several games without even scoring a touchdown.

The Bucs offense the year they won was run by the legendary Brad Johnson

And what's most amusing about this, and is yet another thing you don't seem to get, is we're following the same model the Seahawks have been using.

Heck, can you even name a Seahawks receiver or tight end other than Jimmy Graham without googling?

Arrogant, yeah
