Dave and Ron Daryl Williams Presser

Given what they said it got me thinking...Remmers played LT in college and given his size, I wonder if he could be Oher insurance for us.  Daryl cements himself in at RT.  We can use additional depth/competition but it's looking so much better than freaking Bell/Chandler/Garry InjuredWilliams

TBH I never really wanted to see Garry Williams play so maybe him being injured all of the time was a blessing in disguise. I'm loving this draft though hope we can get some depth with our 2 5ths

They wouldn't have traded if they didn't think the guy could be an immediate impact for us.  Whether it be starting or relieving. With that said, if they really like him....I really like him.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
