Re-Picking the 2005 draft

Ran across this and thought it was rather interesting.  We had the #14 overall pick in 2005 and we all know we selected TD.  According to the article we should have went with Jeremiah Ratliff (who actually went in the 7th round). Not so sure many here @ the huddle would agree with this.....

One of the worst 1st rounds in NFL history and TD goes later than he originally did? LOL

The article doesn't explain it, but imagine being a team knowing you're going to be missing Thomas for 3years of his career even with a crystal ball, not many teams would take that even with a productive player while he is active. I love me some TD58 and Panthers but objectively speaking, I understand the ranking.

Well, if he was drafted by a different team he may never have been injured at all.

Finishing his degree,..lauded by TD and the FO, will get to start from day-1...who's to say we wont have one of, if not the best LB geoup in the NFLs history?

So finishing your degree and being talked up by your coaches results in getting a statue...? Let the guy play at least a down in the league, Jesus.

You definitely can't put Shaq in there with those guys at this point in time. Hopefully one day but c'mon man.

    • This reads like a Falcons fan comment
    • I'm an old man, too. My back hurts and I yell at the clouds plenty. That's why I use the antenna.  I have never paid for cable TV. I have cable internet, but not TV. I get that we can feel like companies charge too much for a service, but I don't believe they are price gouging. They are simply working in the free market. When their price gets too high, either customers will decide to find another source or not watch at all.  When the system is working correctly the customer always feels like they could get a slightly better deal and the supplier always feels like they could have charged a little more. On a side note, is there anyway you could post that pricing plan from the 1900's. I would love to see what we were complaining about back then.
    • I don't like round pegs and square holes.  I can be find with either.  You just have to pick one.  It's been that simple from the start.  Carolina remains in the round peg/square hole phase of life.  again, you are fixated like most Bryce supporters on how passes are graded.  Again, Teddy Bridgewater can grade well on the deep passes overall he happens to make.   If he grades well on those select passes.....that doesn't somehow magically mean he isn't checking down out there is isn't pulling trigger when he needs to.  The well graded deep pass doesn't make Teddy a gunslinging chunk passer playing the way a scheme would need him to. They remain two different things. his deep ball at Bama wasn't good.  That's not my soapbox but you can find threads on that too where that he been discussed in detail.  He just could just make off target throws to wide open dudes.
