NBA Finals Thread

Dellavedova is SPENT!

And yet Curry is still playing like a passive girl. Dribbles up the court and passes immediately. He should be blowing by him every drive. Open shot or forced double team and hit the open guy every possession.

4th Q and LeBron is just standing around and repeatedly throwing it inside to an undrafted player. On the other end Curry playing passive and refusing to take an undrafted player suffering from cramps off the dribble. Never seen two superstars in the Finals so timid.

One has a team full of shooters and he has been effectively shut down by a undrafted player. The other has hardly any shooters and has played almost all the minutes possible while being known as a passer instead of a pure shooter. If Golden State does not win this series, it would be the biggest failure imo. They have a deeper bench, better defense overall, one of the great offenses, more efficient team than any NBA this season. It's easy to poo-on LeBron but what he has been nothing short of phenomenal with what he has had to work on. Iggy is Warriors hero just like Delly has been Cavs hero.

Goes to show that LeBron is carrying some terrible coaches. Last year the Heat had no idea what to do when Diaw started, and now it looks the same.

Blatt's gameplan has been outstanding these entire Finals.

A PF shooting 38% from the field is not phenomenal.

Who is else is an excellent go to shooter for the Cavs?  Is it Iggy, Klay, Curry, Barnes, Lee, Livingston, Speights, Bogut oops that is the Warriors.  Hey LeBron pass it to: JR (brick), Schumpter (no confidence), Delly (he's spent), Mozgov (halfway decent).  Don't worry you have Irving and  Love, but wait they are out for the season (number two and three scorers for the team). So of course LeBron is going to take more shots, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.  What efficiency is not showing or measuring is the indirect way the mass volume of shooting is actually helping the team, look at the results tonight.  LESs shots, less aggression, lower energy.

Top five regular season still active from Warriors average is about 10 pts higher than Cavs top five active (still playing) scorers.  Then it just gets worse for the Cavs in terms of reliable shooters.

And if the Cavs had Love and Irving, who would certainly average nearly 45 Pts a game between them, the Warriors would be averaging 115+ Pts and you'd be crying that LeBron has no help defensively and can't stop all 5 Warriors by his poor self. Where do the excuses stop? Iguodala outplayed LeBron tonight. Cleveland didn't get outplayed tonight. Delly, Mosgov, & Thompson all had good games. Iggy was the only GS player that had a great game. And that was LeBron's man.

    • I'm right there with you, brother. I've been a Panther fan since the day the team was awarded to the Carolinas.  We've had some good years, a couple of great years, as well as some low periods and no consecutive winning seasons. But I never thought I'd see such a period as we have over the past several years.   It has gotten to the point of being rather apathetic in watching them. In fact, I told my wife before the Miami game I was watching just to see what new and creative way they lose another game. And early on, it looked like they would. But damned if Miami wasn't more creative than the Panthers.   I'm now older than my Dad when he died (he was 65) and, like you, I've wondered if I'll ever see them have another winning season. I'd sure like to think I will.
