Sharper among HOF nominees, wtf NFL!?

To be fair, they also nominated a long snapper. Don't think they thought this through much.

A few Panthers (Sam Mills, Stephen Davis, Kevin Greene) are nominees as well. No ways Davis gets in but I'm holding out hope Mills can get in one day.

As a side, my personal seven picks: Brett Favre, Kurt Warner, Otis Anderson, Terrell Davis, Sterling Sharpe, Kevin Greene, Sam Mills.

Ty Cobb is in the MLB HOF, OJ is in the NFL HOF. Voters tend to leave morality out of it, for better or for worse.

That is ridiculous in a shameful way, since the NFL punishes active players hard for off field misbehaviors. Those double standards make me sick.

OJ was voted into the Hall of Fame well before he did his evil deeds.  I don't know if there is a process for removing someone from the Hall of Fame.  But I don't think he would be voted in today.  Ty Cobb was never convicted of any crime that I know of.

only reason he wasnt charged with a crime is because he lived in the pre-civil rights era.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
