The way his contract is structured the 49ers can cut him and little cap implications. His agent did not do him a service

After next year yes.   Think he will only count 7 mill in deadspace if they cut him.  However he has made 22 mill over the past 2 years.. so considering how he is playing, that's a good deal.

There is already talk of the Forty niners benching him  Only problem with that is that his backup is Gabbert

Agreed. 49ers made his bed. Now sleep in it.

I doubt they're going to bench him. But if so; what a reversal of fortunes from a guy (those who watched anyway) knew was a fraud, and product of his system/Harbaugh from the start.

Guy was looking to run all day, one read than take off. He hasn't matured as a passer one bit. I think Gettleman should put in a call and ask Baalke about Boldin, the Niners are toast may as well let Boldin give it one last run

I saw that to/again (from the past).

They guy, would just take off an run after the first read.

It was almost comical.

I can't believe (again), idiots like Jaworski could even say a guy like this was better than Cam, when we all knew/saw the truth right before us!!

And yes Huddle Police), we're unloading on "Kaep". Cause we all knew how it would look if you took Harbaugh away from him, and didn't replace him with something comparable.

omgz, Jimmy Johnson killed him on the OT.  The host asked him what he would do as the coach in that situation with the way he's been performing, and he said "I'd find another quarterback."

He got the smirk from Howie trying not to laugh and the facepalm from Strahan.  Funny stuff.  Fug Kaep.

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
