I feel like so far the major change has been in play calling. We seem to not be as comfortable with a lead as we have been in the past. There's a lot more passing on 1st and 2nd downs than I think I've ever seen any Panther team run. We seem more committed to scoring than just getting ahead and killing the clock. Which has given a lot of past opponents a shot to get back in the game. And I think that approach suits Cam's play-style much better.

Yes? What can I do for you? Speak fast, I'm a busy man...

Seriously, Cam wore that "Cam"o-flauge suit better than the Air Force wears those crappy blue tiger BDUs. Like those Chairborne Rangers would ever need to pick up a rifle and fight anyway, why would you camoflauge yourself against the sky? Riding a UAV into combat? Air Farts. Biggest collection of dumb smart guys I've ever seen in my life.

Even more seriously, Panthers should do a special "Cam"oflauged #1 game jersey patterned like that suit. Think about it. Picture it in your mind.

So much YES

Hey fug you buddy. I'm a proud Air Force vet of 7 years. I carried a loaded m4 for my entire tour in Iraq. Plus, we are the AIR force. That means we get all the cool toys and bad ass jets to blow poo up and kill bad guys.

Let me guess...you are Army? Marines?

There's a reason that Cam in the discussion for MVP. While he may not be generating the yards he was during his rookie campaign, he's much improved as a quarterback. In what area do you think he has improved the most?

Guys guys, it is way to early in the season and we have played no one. Even still the offense has struggled at times.

Lets hold the horses here.

Had to spend the first 20 years of my life being shipped around God's creation when the higher up Air Force Sky Marshals decided my dad was needed someplace else. At least you made a decision to join. I was drafted at birth 4 months after he completed basic.

The camo thing was a clip from a conversation my dad and I had once about the new BDUs that were issued. He agreed. And there are a lot of dumb smart guys in that branch of service. One example was when the F-4 pilot was supposed to test the new HUD that was installed. After flight mission de-brief report said it wasn't working. My dad does the diagnostics, everything looks fine. He reads the report again and decides to check the pre-flight checklist. Sure enough, turning on the HUD display isn't on the list. So he communicates that the checklist needs to be updated and writes on the repair log that the problem was fixed by recycling the O-N/O-F-F switch. Next flight that pilot reports his positive opinion about the HUD display. smh

Actually I'm pretty sure the new ABU was designed with urban combat in mind...not the sky. I do like the Marine Corps and Army battle uniforms color schemes a lot better.

The Air Force isn't a bad life at all though...I really enjoyed my time in. Would probably still be in had I not royally fuged my back up and gotten handed my walking (gimping) papers.

A lot of good growing up in that way of life, but a whole lot of bad, too. Would rather have grown up in American civilian society, but it is what it is. Wouldn't be a Panther fan if we hadn't been stationed at Seymour Johnson in Goldsboro when I was born. Would've been born a Vikings fan instead and my liver would be in much worse shape than it is now.

But back to the thread, concerning Cam's wardrobe, special edition "Cam"-ouflage jerseys would be on point. Couldn't be game jerseys because of visibility issue with the numbers, but if Cam would wear it at press conferences, it'd sell, especially if tied in to a charity for service members and/or their families. Forward this up the chain of command.

He's more patient, I think. We're seeing him check down and taking dump offs where before he may have tried to force it deep somewhere. This trickles into him making better decisions with the ball. The only bad pass I can think of was the pick in the Jags game.

Of course this could be a product of the line performing better. He looked great last year against the Lions and well... it went downhill from there until late in the season.

So you're a pilot then? Because if not, carrying an M4 to and from the chow hall doesn't make you a bad ass. And since pilots don't carry rifles...I'm going with no. Hard to personally claim all their cool poo when you're not a pilot.

But don't worry...I save my real hate for the Navy. ;)

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
