Why didn't the clock stop on the last drive?

Anyone else notice the clock not stop when one of our WRs caught the ball and went out of bonds on the last drive?  We lost about 25 secs but nothing was said about it so I maybe I missed something on that play.  Can't recall which receiver...maybe Ginn or Brown, but he definitely looked like he went out of bounds.

Basically the reciver must go out completely untouched for the clock to stop otherwise they count it a forceout in favor of the defence.  I guess since there is such a grey area there they just call it cut and dry, get touched or not get touched?  Which is fine by me.  That way the call is done and the offence can get back to business without wondering if the play clock has stopped without wasting more time.

I've heard that it was because the refs declared forward progress before he went out of bounds. Basically, they were trying to screw us.

I find it hilarious how you can present the correct answer and then somehow interpret it as ref bias.  On the play with Philly Brown's first down catch, he caught the ball right at the sticks and then got pushed backwards out of bounds.  His forward progress was most certainly in bounds.

Now I also recall another one that happened on our 2nd to last drive where I didn't see forward progress stopped before going out of bounds, yet the clock still ran.  I feel like I see this crap happen fairly often though, and I think it's because the stadium clock operators are employed by the home team. The refs rarely correct them when they make a mistake.  Pretty much only happens when there was a penalty, a play review, or a play clock malfunction involved.

Actually the clock doesn't stop unless within 5 minutes till the end of the game. Or within 2 minutes of the end of the first half.

Yep. This was Philly's catch on a comeback route. There was still like 5 or 6 minutes left so the clock only stops on an incomplete pass.
