Jerry is a billionaire who is nearly 80 years old and living on borrowed time nearly a decade aftar a heart transplant. Why the hell is he worried about squeezing money out?

It's what he's done his entire life. Why wouldn't he want to set his business up for long-term success even after he is gone?

JR set his ownership role model as the Rooneys and probably the Mara's. So therefore he wants to be influential outside of just the Panthers. I believe this franchise is set up for long term success just the way he wants it. Participating in committees is part of that.

Kraft, Mara, Rooney....AND Richardson are all part of the LA commitee.

Richardson's involvement has nothing to do with Carolina moving

JR wants to be if he isn't already in the company of those guys prestige wise. At lest that's my take.

idk, man. I try not to think about things like that. Like, what will happen to the team once the BigCat passes and the team is sold, as wished? I'm sure it will stay in Charlotte but will it be the Panthers? Richardson has instilled such a family like environment, I'd hate to see that image changed.

I dont think it would make any sense for the Panthers to move to LA espically with the whole concept of the Division in the NFL. Maybe Michael Jordan will step in and buy this team?

Maybe he wants to get a team (or teams) there now,  so the next owner of the Panthers will not have that option.

This was my thought. JR helps get a team there so whoever winds up with the Panthers won't have any options.

Ive always thought an LA move would be very unlikely for this team. Charlotte is a great market and the panthers are firmly rooted here. LA is such a huge gamble IMO.

Carolina has an outstanding stadium, sell outs and a growing fan base.

Los Angeles has never had an NFL stadium, ever.

Not to mention California has zero dollars to help build one. You would have to be insane to leave the Carolinas for LA as good as the Panthers have it.
