Wegher should at least get a few carries against Tampa just in case the injuries to Stewart and Fozzy keep them out in the playoffs

If Fozzy is significantly hurt, I don't think they'll have a choice. Would be nice to have seen Wegher earlier but the argument about giving a bunch of guys a few touches goes against conventional wisdom that running backs often take time to get into a rhythm during a game, and it was tough to take the ball out of Stew's hands when the offense was doing so well with him.

I personally think Stew will be back next week, but honestly, I don't think that will hurt Wegher for that game either because I think he compares more to Fozzy than he does to Stew.  Remember, Wegher's big plays this preseason came with him catching the ball, so I think it's incredibly likely that should Fozzy be out for any significant amount of time, Wegher would instantly become our shifty third down back.

Do you have to be in "desperation mode" to play the better, younger player?

How do you know he's better?

Wegher either doesn't have the full playbook down yet, doesn't "get" the zone read yet, or doesn't know the ins and outs of pass blocking.

Again, this goes back to week 9 or so for me, we should have been spelling Stew a little more, along with Harper, Tillman, TD, etc....we have some older guys on our roster playing big time minutes.

What did you see from CAP?  He only had 5 carries today.  He had 50 yards or so in those carries.  He should have had more carries today.

I saw hesitation and uncertainty. I want to decisiveness, certainty, power, explosion and speed/burst. I want to see what Wegher can bring to offense.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
