Can I has tickets? I'll cheer loudly at the game if so. GO PANTHERS/KEEP POUNDING!

PS - LOVE THE PANTHERS. Haven't been to a game since the epic win over the Saints in the rain in 2013 to clinch the division.

My original Huddle name was Jambalayah! in celebration of the Jake Delhomme signing so you would not be giving anything up to a bandwagon fan.

Having to root for Delhomme and then enduring every snap of the Jimmy Clausen season...you could say I feel like this Karma should happen for a certain Ninja....See you on the field!!

You truly love your team if you smiled and said sure..I believe Jimmy Clausen will improve!!

My love of the Panthers is so strong I keep a pair of tickets I didn't get to use when I was 10 years old (no ride) to the first game they ever won in the history of the team down in Clemson. Sam Mills won that game for the Panthers and those tickets remind me daily of the 'keep pounding' motto I use everyday in life.

Long story short, this season is the first in like 8 years I haven't made it to at least one game.  All of my "fun money" this year went to my son's adoption fees.   It kinda sucks with the season we're having, but at least we're 15-2 since he was born.  With that said, I'd love nothing more than to watch Cam and Co. beat up on the Seahawks again!

Long time reader, but created a login just for this thread.  The easy answer is that I am a born and bred Charlottean (having graduated from both South Mecklenburg and up 77 from Davidson College) - you could say being a Panther is in my blood.  I was such a big fan that when I worked in Japan, I used to pay my friends to record games via VHS (showing my age) and have them mail them to me where I would watch the games a month late (having already known the score and outcome).

But my love for these Panthers has evolved over the years and has particularly grown recently when the Panthers drafted Cam.  This franchise has created a special relationship with the fans that matter the most - children.  My godson loves Cam Newton - his greatest dream is to be given a football by Cam after having scored a touchdown.  The tradition that Mike Shula and Cam Newton have created is incredibly impactful to children.

I missed out on getting two tickets for my godson and I when playoff tickets went on sale a couple of weeks back . . . but I would gladly drive 5 hours to the game with my godson if I were fortunate enough to win two tickets.  See below (what he did to his football) - we would dab the whole drive down to Charlotte.

    • This 1000%.  Hey who wants to sign with the guy that couldn't even get his client the guaranteed contract of a 3rd round pick?  Lmao
    • I don't think it's any weird or unique clause, it's the offset language, same thing so many contract disputes are over. It just means that including it, if a player is cut and then signed by another team, the original team would be able to subtract how much they're getting paid by the new team from what they still owe him on their guaranteed money. For example, it's why Russell Wilson signed for the minimum last year with the Steelers as that was included in his Denver contract.  So if he signed with the Steelers for $1 million, he'd get $1 million less from the Broncos, if it was $2 million, he'd get $2 million less, basically he couldn't make any more money than he was already going to make, so you sign for the minimum to not take unnecessary cap room from your new team while giving extra cap room to your old one. The problem with trying to include it in rookie deals is that a team trying to include it, it says they think they don't really believe the player will make it 4 years with the team before they cut them.  And this usually comes up with one or two rookies in most seasons, the difference is it's usually handled much more quietly and not as public and ugly as this one. The other difference is that it's happening with the Bengals, which I believe I saw are one of the few (or only?) team that doesn't have protections for rookies in rookie and mini camps to be able to participate even if they haven't signed their contract yet.  The other teams have injury protections that allow them to still play, but the Bengals do not, which is also why this one is so public and ugly, as most the time this happens, the rookie is still participating in the rookie and subsequent mini camps, giving them more time to get the contract done before training camp when they'd then hold out.
