I haven't forgotten that it was fashionable but wrong to blame Shula for everything.

The sheep are the people who followed the hate Shula clique despite having zero understanding of the game on the level needed to do so.

If you are really calling out fans for liking the fact the offense has become the top scoring squad in the league and that people who do have knowledge are crediting our OC then that is quite petty and foolish.

Yeah it always annoys me when people expect a new offense to be good at the snap of a finger.  Playing football is really no different than any other job in the sense that you're never as good on the first day as you are a year or two down the line.  It takes time to learn and have concepts move from having to think about what you're doing to doing it as an almost automatic response.

I have my issues with PFF but it is nice to see Shula get some positive attention.  He has held up very well to a lot of negative takes and deserves a ton of credit.

Other Panther coaches mentioned;

WR Coach  Second runner-up: Ricky Proehl, Carolina Panthers

DC  Second runner-up: Sean McDermott, Carolina Panthers

Linebackers Coach  First runner-up: Al Holcomb, Carolina Panthers

Secondary Coach   Second runner-up: Steve Wilks, Carolina Panthers

Great to read!  Wish Oline coach Matsko had gotten some love as well... He SURELY deserves it!!

Quarterback audibles out of half the plays called. Wins OC of the year. If he's that great, how come no one wants him?

Then why didn't Cam audible out of those "conservative" calls in the second half against the Seahawks? And how do you know nobody wants to hire Shula? He already said he wouldn't interview until the Panthers season was over, and nobody could hire him until then anyway.

Shula deserves this whether some of you like it or not.

You still have to have someone design the playcalls even if they get audibled. And btw, there are a lot of OCs who don't allow their QBs to audible. I think that should be marked as a plus for Shula that he has such a flexible mindset tbh.
