Word was the female part in Purple Rain was written for her, but then Prince broke up with her and replaced her with Apollonia Kotero .

True story: I once saw four girls do a striptease dance to one of her songs.  That's not unusual in and of itself, until you add the detail that this was in my high school's talent show.

Yes, my high school's talent show featured strip acts, one with four girls and one with two guys.
