Falcon fan here: What is your issue guys?!?

Historically the Panthers play the Falcons blow for blow. The outcome is almost always up in the air. Even when the Falcons had the horrible Joey Sunshine as QB we fought a hard close battle. Jake Delhomme of the last two games is not the same Jake Delhomme that will show up Sunday, I can 100% guarantee you that.

I believe come Sunday the Falcons will see a VERY heavy dose of Williams and Stewart, and when Jake has to throw he’ll dink and dunk with three step drop backs to minimize chances of pressure from our D-Line. I believe once our D starts to zone in on the run, Jake will take maybe two to three deep shots at best. Trust me guys, you won’t be doubting that guy after Sunday (and I hate the dude).

I’m very concerned about this game, all the analyst are giving the Falcons this game as if Carolina isn’t a VERY VERY VERY good football team. You guys represent the NFC South, division rival or not you represent one of the best division in all of football and for the most part you guys represent us well. You’re tough, strong, physical and most importantly able to bounce back from adversity. Your football team doesn’t “suck” after one week. It didn’t suck in the first week, you had a bad game and I fully expect to see the 12-4 Panthers march into the Dome come Sunday.

Although I’ll be cheering for the Birds and I enjoy our rivalry I want you dudes to understand that you have an incredible football team that will do equally as incredible this year even with the tougher schedule. We are the NFC South, that’s just what we do.

Good luck fellas and here’s to a hell of a game.

Normally I hate comradery amongst rivals but I must agree with everything you said. It does upset me that our opposition is giving Jake more respect than his own fans. He's obviously done something right.

He's done a lot right, just not lately... and I'll be the first one up cheering Sunday if he has a great game. I just think that there's something going on with him that's not going to be an easy fix. If he was just making bad throws in the last two games, or had just made some physical mistakes, I wouldn't be so worried, but he literally looked lost and in shock last Sunday.

Its easy for you guys to really bash Jake after that heart breaking loss at home to 'Zona. But for him to do a repeat last week is 100% justified. I just know for a fact though that, that guy is a damn good leader (Can't believe im saying that) and has the assets to be THE guy. Personally, for me last Sunday was a battle of coaching as opposed to talent. Philly just out-schemed you guys. I really honestly don't see that happening this game.

We smashed the Dolphins because they figured they would tune in on the run and make Matt Ryan beat them with his arm. Come'on fellas Ryan can def. do that therefore they picked there poison. Carolina won't be so dumb. You guys know us, know our strengths and you DEFINATLY know our weakness.

Im tellin you, this game is really either way.

P.S. Im a Falcons fan bro. I hate the Jets. lol the name is from when I use to code when I was younger... just kinda stuck with me online

I agree, it's scary. I just hope the blitzes didn't expose us in Week 1. And Jake is a great leader, but he's been a great leader because he and steve find ways to win games. He's got to get back to doin that and I think he will.

Nice first post, and I thank you.

But you are not allowed to respect us, we don't know how to handle that,

:iagree: Nah seriously, it sucks being a Falcon fan lots of times. The city is so damn fickle. We have one winning and here comes the smack talk... "oh were gonna do this and that..." like damn dude can we have back to back winning season first? :puke:

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
