Heading up again in a couple weeks

For those living there or more familiar (usually up for shows and meetings and not much time to explore), where are the best blues bars.  Terra Blues seems to be the more popular for pure blues.  Anyone been there?  Most have jazz and blues.  Not a fan of jazz so I don't to whiff, so to speak

Any help is appreciated

Terra Blues is probably the best. The Blue Note is classic. Too bad you don't like jazz, you should give 55 Bar a try. They sometimes have blues. That's the problem with living here. I could give you 10+ more to try that you'd like. It's too much sometimes. You can't see it all. Same with steak. Too many damn options. St. Anslem in Brooklyn is my favorite though.

Can you go to Peter Lugers Steakhouse and tell me how good it is.  I will live my experience through you.

My brother moved to Brookyln, so I went to stay with him a few days. Since I didn't have to pay for any lodging i took him and his wife out to Peter Lugers.

My brother and I got the Porterhouse for two. Sister in law got the salmon. The plate is so hot that if you want to cook your steak more(not that you would) you can cook the steak on the rim. They have a spoon to baste the steak pieces in all the juices/butter. Best steak I've ever had, you won't be disappointed.

We also got their potatoes and creamed spinach as sides. Not sure why the spinach is so renowned it didn't really taste that unique. Still good if you like creamed spinach.

My brother and I also got a single piece of bacon and the onions/tomatoes for an appetizer. Fresh fresh tomatoes were just delicious. Great with the bacon, I could have ate that nonstop for dinner. The bacon is super thick.

The rolls weren't warm I was slightly disappointed. For some reason every restaurant we went to didn't have warm bread. Maybe it's a NYC thing. Also the Peter Luger's sauce is pretty much cocktail sauce but with more "stank".

We also got the apple strudel with a gigantic bowl of schlag(whipped cream).

I think my sister in law ordered the cheapest bottle of wine but it was still 60 bucks lol. Overall I think our bill was around 360 dollars, not totally sure. Was worth every penny. I was so satisfied.

I'd love to go back but I'll probably need to take them somewhere else the next time we go.

One thing that's a little weird is every person that works there has gotta be a man over 50 years old. It's also cash or debit only.

Besides Keens, I think I went to Gallaghers also.  Sort of a tourist trap it seemed.

Brick oven pizza is also something I might go for.  Terra Blues seems to only serve whiskey, like hundreds of different ones.  That should be an adventure

    • Completion percentage depends on the offense and type of QB.  So no I don't care about a raw comparison lol. If you don't know what I mean by that I don't know what to tell you. As to Baker, this is the second time you've ignored me and claimed I didn't say something when I did. I'm going to just stop r spending to that crap soon but on the possibility you are just missing these things in good faith - "Baker Mayfield is 11th in QBR, 14th in yards despite the TON of injuries that offense has had, 10th in QB rushing yards, 12th in TDs (and above the average in TD% lol), 25th in INTs (league average would be something like 16th). So yes, he's quite a bit ahead of the average in many categories." Rushing yards by a QB DO matter. You'd think Panthers fans would know that.  Some of Bryce's best plays have come when he uses his legs too, and some of that IS yards on the ground. And the reality is that Tampa has had crazy injury issues and if you look at Bakers career he is unquestionably more successful than Bryce and above average at that. This year his top 3 WRs have all missed considerable time and whose best player on offense hasn't played almost all year...
    • Look at the chart. if you are claiming his numbers prove he not  an NFL caliber QB, than neither is Bo Nix, Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Michael Penix, CJ Stroud, Baker Mayfield and Mahommes. They are all below average and within 2 points of Youngs' numbers.
    • Could be worse. Captain Clempsun is sub 60% completion
