Uncharted 4

Just finished it yesterday and it's amazing. The story is top notch, controls are tight and crisp, climbing is great and its easily the prettiest game on the PS4. It also wraps up the series in a very satisfying way.

Anyone else feel that there was less gun play/gun battles in this one though?

Finished watching a walkthrough on youtube.  The game is amazing and the scenery is the best I've seen in a game.  Concerning the story, it was great but I was a little disappointed with the situation concerning Nate's brother turning out to be something else. (Not wanting to spoil it for those who don't know what I'm talking on)  Overall great game and nice way to end the series.  The only Uncharted game I've actually played and finished was the first one.

I'll admit I was a bit disappointed. It's still a great game with gorgeous graphics. The story just didn't really move me and I had a hard time really caring about Drake's brother. I would have cared much more about a Sully or Elena centralized story to go out on.

Spoiler...I kept waiting for the Uncharted supernatural twist, and it just never came. Between the zombies, blue man group, and drug hallucinations, it just became part of the Uncharted charm and made me miss it in this one.

Like I said, still a great game, I guess I was just expecting a little more to go out on/

I was kind of waiting for the supernatural element to come in as well. When they said Pirate Ghosts I was like Oh here it comes, but it never did.

Still loved the story though. I thought the Pirate Utopia Island thing was really cool and was fun to explore.

Just finished the game.

Naughty Dog just makes the perfect games for my personal taste.  I am not a huge fan of 1st person shooters or huge multi-player games.  I just like games that have a strong central story and good acting.

I really enjoyed it.  It isnt quite up to the level of Last of Us story wise, but the visuals and set pieces on this game are maybe the best I have ever seen.  There are times I would  have to literally stop whatever I was doing and just take time to take in the scenery.

I would give it a 9/10.  There are little nits to be picked, but overall fun game, well acted, and a good story.

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
