The Panthers wrapped up a two-day rookie camp on Saturday. They have five roster spots but that doesn't mean they will rush to sign five of the 35 tryout players. Among those that made an impression and could be signed over the next day or so were Marshall fullback Devon Johnson, Clemson guard Eric Mac Lain and Duke tight end Braxton Deaver.

Just when I thought David Newton had improved a little bit..... SIGH.

(To be fair, he does post frequently, unlike the other NFC South NFL Nation reporters.  I give him some credit for at least trying to get news & interesting stories out there.)

Sandland looks a good amount better than anyone else out there at this point. I can't keeping 4 TE's on the roster.

Maybe stash simonson and/or a udfa on the PS? Assuming Beau beats out simonson in preseason.   Olsen has been our rock on offense since he got here, and is starting to age (even if he doesn't show it on the field)  . Getting somebody to follow him up or at least compliment him is a priority IMO.  Dickson just ain't getting it done.
