Hornets offering 22nd pick to teams if they'll also take Hawes or Lamb's contract

Just saw this.

If they aren't enamored with anyone in the draft, I think this makes sense. I think they really would like to sign Marvin, Lin, and Lee. I think many are thinking we would be drafting a replacement to fill their role but the front office may not see the value at 22.

Personally, I wanted Wade Baldwin as a replacement for Lin but he's shot up the boards recently. So I can see why they are considering this.

The Front office is full of idiots, I hope they give up their first rounder, Hawes or Lamb, and trade up for Thon.  Let him progress in the D-League a few years.

I'd rather them take Hawes, but I'm not sure who needs a pick and is willing to add empty salary.

Hawes only has a year left, he would be dead weight.  His contract is for sure the most likely to move.  Lamb on the other hand has at least 3 years left.

Not sure we'd be moving up in this situation

Sounds Cho loved Lamb and Clifford has different feelings about him. Hate to speculate but that situation does give legs to the rumor that Cho/Clifford seem to operate on different spectrums.

Lamb is still incredibly young, I don't understand this at all.  Lamb showed flashes last year.  Maybe his work ethic sucks or something.

Lamb just isn't good enough on defense for Clifford to play him, he makes way too many mistakes. He also throws some of the worst, laziest passes I've ever seen on the offensive end. I like Lamb, but I can see why he doesn't play from a coaching perspective.

    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
