It's become painfully obvious that Steve Smith...

Please spare yourselves with the panty bunching. The bottom line is I continue to be right until smitty proves me wrong.

Sloppy routes, check.

Lack of effort, check.

Lolligagging, check.

Whining and bitching on the sidelines, check.

Total loss of fath in the QB, Check

The fact is every WR is a wines and bitches. I even remember Walls back in the day bitching after a win he didnt get the ball enough. The fact is they have not found any person that can catch a pass besides Rasario and King. I never see Moore or Jarrett on the field besides on 3rd and longs. We run the I-Form all game long and use the same plays over and over again. There is no spark in playcalling and it has Fox all over it. If I was a player on Offense I would be pissed too cause you almost lost a game to one of the worst teams in the NFL. Hell they didnt even have there best Pass rusher because they Traded him.....

what exactly am I denying again? That smith hasn't been an absolutely sh*tty player this year?

Proof?

Let me ask you this. Who has not been a shitty player on Offense this year?

I love steve smith. But he has been an absolute turd this year from the beginning of camp. I want him to do well and do well for us.

If you can't see that he's been awful now, then you never will.

Steve wants to be the best. He is unhappy because they are not allowing that to happen. Even if he is not the same as he once was he is def not as bad as he looks this year.

Dude lmao you making 0 sense

He hasn't had anything to show for you to judge him like that cause we dont have a QB. How could you put blame on Smith first before Jake

Snake, our offense is the same as last year. Only difference is that our QB is 10 times worst

Moose actully made plays last year and so did Smith. Jake was better also but there have been times this year that both Smith and Moose screwed Jake. On the other hand Jake has screwed them alot more.

Good points Snake. Smitty tipping up balls for INTs, breaking off routes, and giving up on plays hasn't helped his case this year.

You can blame Jake for maybe causing Smitty to get frustrated and lose focus after the season opener... But, ultimately, each player is responsible for themselves. And Smitty has not looked good this year, by himself. He's getting caught crossing the field after catches, whereas before he would breakaway. His YAC sucks, and that's all on him.

He just doesn't look the same, and that has nothing to do with Jake. He needs to grow up, or just punch a teammate in the face like he usually does and STFU.

Didn't Smith start off camp by saying something about being 30? I think you got alot of guys on the team right now on the one hand get the big picture of life. But on the other hand, they are not obssesed with football. Unfortunately that's what you need to win at the Pro level.

Eat sleep and drink football. Not saying it's right just the way the league works.

    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
    • The Jets and Bill's are statistically worse
