That's why we played Allen over him. Better against the run.

He is basically a 3rd and long DE. No way I would trust him to contain on starters. I get why he didn't play much last year. I also figured he would bulk up but nope.

If the DE's continue to play the way they are, honestly, I say call Hardy.  I know people say there's like a 1% chance he comes back, but desperate times calls for desperate measures.

Really hope Cox can get healthy and maybe throw in Webster and see what he can do. But I'll hold off any real concerns until after next weeks game.  Hoping tonight was just everyone shaking off the cobwebs.

Winner...

1. Shaq Thompson: Making plays everywhere. He may overshadow Kuechly and TD this season.

2. Star/KK: Nothing was getting by them up the middle.

3. Brenton Bersin: Continues to show he is a reliable 3rd option. Seems to improve each season with his route running.

4. Cam Newton and his passing game. Greg Olsen and KB looked good. Funchess looks confident. Ginn is still a weapon and better suited as a stituational player rather than a starter.

5. Starting OL looked solid. Test for the starting OL is always the speed rushers, which the Ravens did not seem to have on the field for the game.

6. Stephen Hill showed some toughness and game breaking ability getting the first down on the WR screen. Seems like Cam and KB really like Stephen Hill. Was expecting to see more Hill, but I guess they limited him due to his return from injury.

Loser...

1. Back up OL. They were getting destroyed all night in pass protection and run blocking. The defense was in the backfield most of the time before the RB completed the hand off. Darryl Williams struggled quite a bit as well as Chris Scott.

2. Vernon Butler: Missed several tackles. RBs got away from him too easily as he seems to always go to a DE pass rush move to penetrate allowing for a huge gap for the RB to use after side stepping Butler. He made it too easy for the OL to block him, and at times played way too high. Butler was pushed off the ball often in the running game. He was pulled on the Ravens first TD drive after he was driven 8 to 10 yards off the ball allowing the RB to gash up the middle of the defense for a large gain and easy first down. He never saw the field again that drive or for the rest of the game.

3. Ryan Delaire: He continues to perform horribly as witnessed in camp. He is struggling in every aspect of the game. Effective with his pass rush, but he is an easy target to bait when he is on the field and he has limited pass rush moves the offense needs to counter.

4. James Bradberry: continues to struggle to locate the ball in the air, and slow to get his head around. Keeps face guarding receivers and hopes he gets in the way of the ball and the receiver. We all know on the pro level that opposing offenses will target him to exploit his technique, or rather lack of technique.

5. AJ Klein: He was awful. He seems to get worse every season. Still has trouble commanding the defense and locating the ball. Takes poor angles and was having a terrible time making tackles. David Mayo > AJ Klein now. I think it is time to write Klein off and dump him as he is still a liability on the field for the defense. Maybe keep him until the end of his rookie contract and hope you do not have to rely on him for a good portion of the season.

6. Quite a bit more bad than good in the game. The biggest lesson, which we already knew going into the game, is that the depth of the team continues to decline in quality. Let's hope the core stays healthy and we do not have to watch the depth get abused on Sundays.

1% becomes 100% with the blessing of one man.  Use common sense and the dozens of reasons I've dissected for months and write the man.  Por favor.  800 S Mint St.
