I'd rather have Greg Hardy and a Super Bowl ring than I would a moral high ground and ivory tower. If it was going to happen, it would have happened by now though.

I was in a car accident few weeks ago, and somebody asked me, How much you getting paid?. I said nobody was hurt, so just the car getting fixed.

I dont care what you believe or don't...so, act like your mother is watching.

We went to the Super Bowl without Greg Hardy.

We didn't lose the Super Bowl because of defensive end play.

Logic is hard.

Dude, you made his point. We LOST

The question would have been is Hardy>Jared Allen, DeLaire, Cox, Miley, or Horton? Could there have been more pressure on Manning somewhat like the pressure the WINNING team applied to Cam?

First I'd say, if we're talking football on this here site, yeah Hardy>>better than all those pieces. Him Charles Johnson and Ealy and a couple of those guys would be quite formidable.

Besides, he does owe the organization. Let him pay it off

If you think I made his point, you aren't very good at logic.

We LOST because the offense didn't hold up there part.

Now if you're trying to tell me that Hardy can become a RT that can block Von Miller or a WR that can catch a ball across the middle or a FB that won't fumble, then I think there is no hope for your logic skills.

Yeah that's why we took a DT in the 1st, a defensive player with the first 4 picks, and brought in a slew of top DE's for visits.  We didn't need help on D right?

That's why the Broncos set the tone with an easy first drive, and why numerous teams turned blowouts into nail biters in the 2nd half of games last year.  We're fiiiiine at DE.

I would love to see Hardy back in a Panthers uni. I think we are one of the few places he could find success plus we have seen what he is capable of in our system (win-win).

PR wise I don't feel like it would be that big of a deal. Like others have said, start of the season is right around the corner plus its an election year so plenty of other stuff to keep his signing from becoming national news. I'd expect a few days of pius articles and TV spots before they realize the public largely doesn't care.

To me the biggest thing holding a Hardy signing back is the potential for future problems and/or messing up the locker room environment they have worked to create.

If a signing happens the most likely time would be after contracts are guaranteed.

Your logic is flawed. " Defense WINS championships "

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
