The stadium vendor is setting that ridiculous price point, not NoDa. NoDa is simply refusing to give a price break to a customer that is already charging well over typical market value for their product. Why would they?

Volume sales and exposure.

Why shouldn't the stadium vendor ask them for the discount if they get it from other brewerys. Its just business.

Right, it's just business. So, why is it that NoDa I'd the one who thinks highly of themselves? It's the vendor trying to apply strong arm tactics and NoDa is simply saying "No thanks." They may not need the volume and exposure. Most quality craft brewers struggle to keep up with demand anyway. There's no point of them selling to anyone St a discount.

Because they buy large quantities. The price point is set on the wholesale cost.  Thus why they asked for a better price.

See my above post for why NoDa would likely not be inclined to accept.

The company I work for has a similar policy. Our biggest issue right now is keeping up with demand. We offer zero bulk discounts, period. Don't want to pay our price? Fine, we'll just sell it to someone else.

Also worth noting is that earlier in the year, or late last year, NoDa announced they were cutting production so as to not go over the production limit set forth by state law that requires them to sell their products through a distributor (thus make more $, nothing wrong with that).  They can sell thier beer elsewhere for more rather than sell it to BoA for less.

And that's fine. But then it is a non-story and Noda could have just said as much.

Possibly, but the craft beer industry will rarely allow a self back patting opportunity pass them by. They love to show how they're so committed to the craft industry and the small guy. Nothing is as core as thumbing your nose at a major customer while proclaiming your unwillingness to allow them to strong arming you into giving them a better deal than your smaller customers.

And I'm sure companies do.

NoDa is already very close to their production limit cap in NC. Selling beers at Panthers games is a very, very small piece of their business.

They have people drive from all over the Southeast to get some of their special releases. They've won gold medal in major beer competitions. That is far better exposure than having overpriced cans at Panthers games. Everyone in Charlotte already knows their beers and they don't really sell much outside of the metro area, so exposure to other parts of the Carolinas doesn't really mean much if they don't distribute there much/at all anyway.
