Heading to Wilmington Area this Wednesday

Finally getting a vacation for a week, the lady and I are heading to the Wilmington area and I wanted to know if anyone here could give me some good food places, interesting things to do around there or where a good place to watch the game on Sunday would be? Any suggestions are appreciated!

I was just in Wilmington. If you drive over to Southport there are some nice little shops you can walk around and look at and then stroll down to the water front. There are a couple of places there that are magnificent. The Provision is good as is the Yacht Basin Eatery.( I recommend the Mahi mahi tacos there)

Probably wont be going out too much for food, so kind of just looking for any must try or must see places.

I mistakingly wrote down the Pavillion when I know I the Provision is what I meant.

Also, the Yacht Basin Eatery right next door to the Provision does indeed have NFL games on there.

Indochine has some really good food, but get there early. Or wait for over an hour.

Mexican food- El Cerro Grande, La Costa

Soul/country food- Caseys

Henrys, Olympia (Greek), Something Fishy.

There's a place called C Street Mexican Grill that makes the best burritos (get the Catamaran).

Don't go near the beaches or downtown to eat.

Downtown Wilmy can be fun at times. There's all sorts of little restaurants in bars on 3rd st and the majority of them are pretty good. When the Fiance and I are down there we just kind of pick one. However, Front Street Brewery is solid. Good food and pretty good selection of different beers. You could be ultra touristy and stop by Flaming Amy's for some burritos (the fried chicken one is the business). J. Michael's Philly Deli is decent, but a little overpriced.

If the weather is decent, I'd try and hit up the beach for a little bit. Wrightsville and Carolina Beach are nice. If you head towards Carolina Beach, there's a little board walk that you can walk down. Your chick will prob dig it. If you do go to the boardwalk, check out Britt's Donuts. Just make sure you have cash on you because they don't take a card. You could also check out the Fort Fisher Aquarium and just the area in general. It's really nice down towards that way.

You could check out the Battleship North Carolina if you haven't done that yet. It's kind of cool to walk through. It's a WW2 battleship that chills on the river.

And I second this. Provision is awesome. The restaurant is on a dock so, you're eating right next to the water. The only bad thing is that you have to drive through Brunswick County to get there. Lol.

Britts Donuts is closed for the season already. We went by there and they had the sign posted. I was so freaking sad.

I'm more than happy to help.  What are you guys into?

Probably going to be a wet weekend for you either way.

Yeah, I got my fingers crossed for some sort of decent weather at least at some point during my stay.

As far as what we are into, really anything, really just looking for things that I cant get out here in the midwest, so pretty much anything lol.  Just trying to hear the good places from the people that have been there and not leave myself to random google searches and yelp reviews.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
