I also clearly remember him stepping up and picking up two blitzes.  Might I have missed him missing some blocks?  Maybe.  But CAP being one of my faves, I kept a close eye on him for the entire game.

What I think is happening here is a lot of you assuming that CAP somehow was bad in pass pro when he actually wasn't.  Nearly all (if not all) of the sacks came from an excellent Minnesota DL beating their opposite number on the OL, not from RB pass pro faults.

Yeah CAP is good we just didn't really run it a lot, which is pretty baffling.

When Stew is healthy he is a difference maker.  Just wish he could stay healthy.

Stewart gets 4 ypc with people loading the box to stop him, CAP gets 4 yards per carry with 7-8 people in coverage. That's the Stewart difference.

people pay too much attention to stats for fantasy and not to real football. 

Take 7-8 in the box and those come out of traffic for the receivers- boom KB and Ginn are open. Put those out in traffic and boom, no open routes for KB and Ginn- CAP gets 4.2 but only facing 3-4 defenders.

If you think CAP was getting swarmed at the line play after play by 3-4 DL, maybe others aren't the ones who weren't paying attention.

Minnesota was rarely using zones in that game.  They were manning up on our receivers in addition to bringing extra in the block to blitz frequently.

I didn't see any striped cats in my house,...

we will have to agree to disagree. 

Having people "man up"receivers didn't count for covering KB over the top and man robbers on so many plays. 

And they didn't respect Cap, the safeties and linebackers just control their areas in the zone and drop back or react to the run, have someone rush Cam.

what I didn't see is multiple defenders coming up to play the back and Cam like they do with Stewart. That first step forward towards Stewart instead of none for Cap is the difference in being able to react to the receivers faster.

just what I see. The offense behaves differently and the other team reacts differently to Stewart.

just like they didn't respect Funchess, they didn't respect CAP, and that's where his yards came from.

Stewart is our best back, without question.  The problem is he can't stay healthy.  I too saw that one play you mentioned and just shook my head.  I think Stewart would have had that block.  CAP has potential though but until he can show consistent ability to pass block we're going to be in a bit of a bind.

That's a better answer that I would agree with. 

Admittedly im a Stewart homer, wanted him drafted and we did, and for me unlike many I feel like he delivered fairly well for a guy that split so many carries and had another resurgence last season.

still, I'm ok moving on, I'm just not sold on CAP yet or anyone else on the roster for that matter.

It would be nice to have him but you're just attributing other players' mistakes to his absence. CAP and Fozzy were filling in fine but penalties negated them and then they abandoned it. 

Stewart hardly plays on third down anyway, Fozzy and Cam getting tricked by the blitz wasn't because Stewart was out.

I remember one play in particular where Fozzy stepped up to take on an interior rusher (which was already blocked) and let Harrison Smith to have a free rush off the edge to drill Cam in the back.
