When opposing QBs who are middle of the road at best pick you apart with short passes you've got a problem at CB. That's basically how we lost the SB to the Patriots, and how we're losing to start this season. The good news is that our CBs should improve throughout the season.

Nope.. the problem is the lack of any pass rush.. if there is zero pass rush ofc the QB is going to pick apart the secondary.

An edge pass rusher is not getting the QB on short passes. Our pass rush up the middle is led by KK. It's fine. That leaves the CBs, who are playing timid due to being rookies. As they mature and the game slows down they look at the QB, and see more, and break on routes. The INTs and pass breakups wiil increase, and that will fix the problem.

Most of those short passes went to TE's, which means the LB's aren't covering.

Zone coverage can be picked apart. You dismiss so much crap, in attempt to support your weak argument, that it gets to the point of ridiculousness.

Bradberry isn't the problem.

Stop downplaying our opponents in an efforr to support your weak ass arguement.

See everybody this is why you don't post on here when you've had a bad day and you're pissed off. It makes your post suck. Try again when you've calmed down, and actually form an argument.

“It’s going to come alive and when it comes alive it’s going to come in bunches,” Ealy said. “Ain’t nothing wrong with our pass rush. People that don’t understand that don’t know the game (and) need to try to find out, figure out what the game is all about. How it works. There’s a reason why for everything.”

JP gives a really good point here:

"The quick-release passes likely have something to do with the Panthers’ defensive scheme. With rookie James Bradberry taking over as the No. 1 cornerback for the departed Josh Norman, defensive coordinator Sean McDermott has called for softer coverages from his corners than he did with Norman.

That has allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete slants and other underneath passes."

Giving up the shorter passes by allowing more of a cushion for the young corners likely has effected the pass rush. I have definitely noticed the ball is coming out so quick against us. I suspect that once Bradberry gets more experience, his coverage will tighten up and the sacks will come as a result.
