The weird thing is Bene didn't play that bad vs Julio. Julio was making some difficult catches with Bene draped all over him.  Compared with Worley who couldn't even keep up

I am sorry, but his is just not true. Bene was left in the dust way too often. He was always behind, and could never catch back up. He was too slow to be on Jones. And it showed. Badly.

Did you see the film? Not saying Bene was good but compared to what we have, he's our best option . Worley looks like a high school corner. At least Bene made Julio work a bit. Doesn't help the fact that Coleman and Boston have been god awful this year

Same things could be said about Remmers who didn't have injury and had better supporting cast at his position vs Bene. This release was knee jerk and DG is  fuging up big time. Why not bench him first and let him heal

Coaches, and GMs get fired all the time.

However, if you are trying to insinuate that RR, who has won COY 2 out of the last 3 years is now, all of a sudden a bad Coach? That, my friend is just an over-reach. A knee jerk reaction to a bad start to a season.

RR, and Gman, have offices just down the hall from each other. They are on the same page as to how this team should be built, and run. That is rare, and we should be happy they are working together. Funny how we are on probably the best roll we have ever been on. And some folks are still unhappy.

Most folks had high expectations for this team. Once those expectations looked to be out of reach. The pitch forks come out. Sounds to me like too many people let a football team dictate their happiness level.

I still have faith in Ron , Shula not so much. Unnecessary roster moves and bad drafting put us in this position. DG talks about the future, but he never drafts for it could have drafted OLs long time ago that could have been groomed for situation like this but nope. Also his past 2 drafts been meh Shaq and Funchess can turn into core players but so far they look reaches including Ealy, Vernon,Bene,Boston,

First. The ONLY draft he realistically had an opportunity to draft a decent OT was his first draft. We got Star, and KK instead. For a team that wants to win with D, they were very good picks. Since then, he has drafted at the back of the pack. Not many OTs from that range work out. Very few teams even try.

I will give you that Ealy needs to step up. But...it is too early for Butler, and Bene, and Boston were 5th rounders. Yeah, let's cry over losing a 5th round pick. C'mon now. 5 years ago, those guys made up our team. Nowadays, they have a tough time sticking. That, my friend, is progress.

Hey, I get it. Times are tough. Some fans will go all gaga, some will not. You are a gaga, I am a dang, the wheels sure feel off kinda guy. I am not going to lose my cool over a football team. I am a GameCock, Michigan State, Lions, and Panther fan. That is 4 total wins. I am not on the ledge. I am having a bad year, and it does stink. But, I am too damg old to get all gaga over it. I let you kids go all gaga, then I make fun of you. See how that works?

Excuses, im pretty sure there where OTs available when we picked from 1-7 round that are JAG or above can't look right now . Bakhtiari, Clemmings , Armstead , etc

p.s also he could have used Yeah, let's cry over losing a 5th round pick

and other rounds to move up for quality OT. But the real issue is that he doesn't value OTs and it's been showing up for 3 years when it mattered the most aka post season

Throwing out names does not make your point any more valid. You call my points excuses, which is a great way to dismiss others' points.

I knew I would hate myself for entering this thread. Try to make a point counter to yours, and I get the ol' "Excuses" rebuttal.

Gman has a Scouting Dept., he subscribes to a Scouting Group. He talks with RR darn near daily. But you think you know what he should do. And now that he didn't do what you thought was right. He should be fired? Typical fan.

Do you get on the interwebz after a bad movie? How about a bad meal. Go to a concert and it sucks, do you go all gaga? But somehow football is different?

You are a fan. You have a certain level of expertise. And I am guessing it is no where near what the professional possess. Aw hellz, carry on.

Its called the eye test, those names i mentioned are performing well in the league and are starters for the team and could have been drafted by the Panthers. BTW I told you the the bigger issue is that DG doesnt place value on OT's  like he does on DT's.

You obviously can't blame Gettleman for anything on the huddle.

However, the roaches that we have (coaches included) are because of him. I understand you can't be great, 15-1 every season but you can be productive and you can have a decent winning season. It's sad that we expect these types of starts from Ron then wait on week 5 to turn up the heat. We have freaking Cam Newton. Gettleman should be building around him and creating a dynasty.

Ron and his coaching staff share a lot of the blame but they can only coach the talent they have. Shula is the exception because he has the offense, he is just dumb as a door knob at times.
