  1. 1. Coach vs GM

So I was debating with couple of friends why we suck paticulary the secondary and the release of Bene was kind of odd. So I did a little digging around & couple of bird came with words that one of issue might have been due to him freelancing (now confirmed by Rivera ) but the bigger issue might have been the debate around protesting the national anthem. ( one of the press conference Ron Rivera got heated that this is football and poltics shouldn't be involved which I believe he was forced into the statement  to protect  the coaches and the players).  I believe Jerry Richardson came in sent a message that he was not having this. Also another thing I am hearing is that there might be a rift between Ron & Gettleman  for not providing the proper talent and ignoring  Rons input in crucial decisons. Todays press conference " it was kind of dicey to roll with young secondary & basically we just hung our hat on last years performance on certain players so we didn't  do nothing to improve the areas."

If you want to get a good sense of the the team just watch all the interviews on Panthers.com  or all of this could be balony but its up to you to figure out.

I think if there is fight between Ron & DG hopefully the player stand by the coaches.

This is a public vote put your money where you mouth is fellas we will find out in 2017!

Remmers sucked in the SB. You did nothing to upgrade. Jets got Ryan Clady for a 5th. Russell Okung was available.

You lose Norman and you draft three rookie corners. Casey Hayward signed a 3y/15m contract with SD; 3 ints so far.

Tre Boston was your day 1 starter. Why the fug not sign Michael Griffin in the beginning so he could've learn the defense sooner.

Dwight Freeney was damn available. You let him walk to Atlanta. Now, Cam laying on his ass.

It ain't hard to build a good team. It's not madden, but it's also not rocket science. You get what you pay for.

May be right if i remember Cam said some things are more important than football

He did. He said those exact words. Some things are bigger than football. So if there's something going on, it's definitely bigger than football and the powers that be are controlling the situation. But nobody wants to hear that on the Huddle. Although I don't think that's the main issue with this team.

    • This is spot on, with the first 5 years of a QBs contract being so pivotal, as it should, unless you have Pat Mahomes or the reincarnation of Tom Brady, stats shows once the qb gets paid, the teams Super Bowl chances shrink significantly  what we did to get Bryce was idiotic to say the least, not because of the player(not a Bryce endorsement) but because there’s a long history of proof, making big swings at qb, are usually big misses  find the identify, build around that, and go from there. Unfortunately we don’t have one, and neither the defense nor offense side of the ball are more than good at best
    • Seems like a loaded EDGE class. though I think we don't spend a premium pick there with Scourton/Princely showing production and potential.  Concepcion at 19 is intriguing and seen ARSB comps with his shiftiness, high IQ and YAC ability. He and TMac would be a nasty 1-2 combo at stretching a defense. Brenan Thompson could be that day 2 speedy/slot guy that could boost his draft stock in Mobile.  Sam Hecht could be a later selection for C depending on how we are planning to attack that position in FA and our own previous guys. Shelton from PSU is an interesting developmental tackle that if he can get locked into an NFL strength program and rock up, could be good down the road. Speaking of PSU, Dani Dennis Sutton was a guy last year I was big on and was bummed he headed back to Happy Valley. I think he can be a helluva NFL player, and if he can show improvement in his pass rush moves, I wouldn't be mad at him in a trade-back situation.
