You'd have to be an idiot to trade a high draft pick for a guy who's only gonna play "a couple more seasons".

Ok Mr. NFL expert, I would trade for him because I'm pretty sure if he was in the SB we would have won it. He is 32 and could playe into 36 so that give us what 4 solid years. I like to achieve my goals instead of dreaming about it for rest of my life now go back to sucking DGs balls.

Also 4 years would be  plenty of  time for a draft pick to develop into a soid starter , plan for the future.

I hope one of your goals is to grow up and stop acting like a spoiled, petulant child.

Trade a high pick for a CHANCE at a SB? I love how some of you are willing to trade our future for a shot at winning now.

"I'd trade our future for a SB win" Well if you don't mind? Fug that. I, and most rational fans, would prefer to be good for a long time, than maybe win 1 SB and never be heard from again. Kids and their give it to me now, I deserve it.

You say fug the future I want my SB, like winning it is a given. Fug off, and leave my future alone.

I also love how you think getting 2, 3, or even 4 years out of a 1st or 2nd round pick is worth the gamble. C'mon man. Sack up and quit begging.

I want a career out of my high draft picks. Not just a couple of years.

Dude its one fuging pick its not like your giving 7 picks plus we get extra 3rd round for Norman. BTW it would probably take 3 years for OT drafted to become a quality starter and would probably make the same mistakes during the SB.  So not only do you get Seasoned pro starter but you can draft someone that can learn from one who has done it at a elite level so you set yourself for the future.

Now nut up.

Oh yea its not like the draft only comes around every 7 years all this talk about builing for long term is BS

It may be ONLY one pick, but it is a 1st or a 2nd. You know, those picks that help set teams up for the future success? Oh that's right, you don't care about the future.

Lot's of 1st and 2nd round Olinemen work out. You are willing to gamble away the future on an almost retired LT, AND want to draft for the future. You cannot do both.

Face it. Panicking is for the weak. Giving away top draft picks is a panic move. Grow a pair dude.

Yea lot of picks works but when has DG ever drafted  OT in the 1st or 2nd round.  The argument I hear on the huddle is that if its not a top 15 pick for a OT then he is going to be a reach. But its not like D.G. traded away draft picks to reach for players :).

Nobody is panicking bro, I would like to upgrade the team to win.

Dude. You really need to get your emotions under control. Quit acting like a spoiled brat, and debate like an adult.

Screw it. I am done with this one.

    • I know it a real homer take but Im not sure Id slam dunk take that list over Smitty.  Smith just played a different way, he had an ability to just take over a game as a matter of will.  The catch against the giants where he caught it and took a helmet that broke his arm mid air, the games against DeAngelo Hall, 05 Bears playoffs, Ice Up Son, the revenge game against us. Those other WRs may have better stat books but love him or hate him, good guy or bad, Smith just played a different game and when he did look out.
    • Absolutely would have to be anther young scorer with either ELC time or a long term contract...    Could see maybe Kyrou or Robertson.... But I really just dont see him being traded you dont trade your leading post season scorer on a long term deal when he isn't even in his prime yet..   not to mention unless you get more than one of those guys at best it would be lateral with unknown team chemistry.
    • was driving down a two lane rural highway this morning as was reminded of this thread.   Minding my own going 60 in the 55. This massive Chevy rolls up behind me so close all I see is grill. Along comes a passing zone and M firm in the right lane.  Does doofus drop over and pass me? Nope he backs off to a solid 2 second separation.   500 feet after the passing zone you can imagine where he was. Back up my ass.
