Cam is fed up, says the no calls have taken fun out of the game

Which is a translation for saying "he isn't white enough." I think everyone now can see what's going on. Cam isn't white or soft enough to get the calls. He's mad about it now, and I sure wish that his coach would be equally as pissed.

It's not race and saying that is moronic. Ben Roethlisburger used to not get those calls too, but the entire Steelers organization raised hell about it and now he does. The problem is the Panthers organization isn't backing Cam the way they should be.

The excuse is, and always will be until the front office gets mad, that "he's big, and he runs a lot".

I have to say though, i'm glad cam is who he is, bc if he was any other qb, he wouldnt have taken a hit like that and walked away.  fug the nfl and these refs.  If they dont start protecting him, i think its time we promote a ps guy just to blindside one of them and knock the living piss out of a zebra.

I've just stopped watching the games. Haven't watched a game since week 2.

Do you have statistical proof showing that?  Because i'm willing to bet he never went a full season without drawing a single RTP penalty, like Cam has.

Don't play the race card. He's big, strong and runs. That's why they treat him unfairly. And I do think they treat him very unfairly!

LOL okay but it's absolutely a race card involved. They can't keep using the "he's big, strong and can run" excuse. Cam doesn't get protection in or out of the pocket. He's not white enough, sorry <not sorry> if that makes you uncomfortable.

It is part race, part of Cam ' s personality.  People kill me bout saying not the race card..it is there and will always be there...If it is in the real world Y would you not think it is in football..it can almost be found in most jobs y not the nfl...You will not understand, or recognize it if you are not on the receiving end or giving it out.  Stop saying not the race card because its definitely not a card the African americans are proud to have.

No, it just makes you wrong. He IS treated unfairly. Doesn't mean it's about race.

No, just going off memory. I also remember Vick complaining about not getting enough RTP calls and then it was shown that he was given that call more than most QB's per 100 attempts. I also remember the Eagles bitching to no end about McNabb not getting enough RTP's and then being shown that he was also one of the more heavily protected QB's by the refs. And I remember plenty of people pulling out the race card in those cases, convinced that the league was just racist. And then, as now, I thought it was a f**king stupid argument. Its the way he plays and his size, not because he's black. Don't be stupid, you aren't helping anything.

If you think its racially based, I think you're an idiot and not helping the situation. Focus on the real problem.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
