Was the 2015 season a fluke?

I can't help but get a feeling of deja vu. A great 11+ win season sandwiched between two mediocre 7 win seasons. There's NEVER any consistency of greatness. This will be the 5th time it's happened since 2003! We would be lucky to get to 7 wins at this point.

Last year was what we can be when things are clicking offense tried new things and it worked defense had formidable players that executed coaching was on cruise control until that Atlanta game and poo went awry sad thing is no team tried to replicate that game until the super bowl and our coaching staff got exposed and couldn't figure out how to fit square pegs into round holes

No.

After the '03 Super Bowl, we disappointed and missed the playoffs. In '05, we were right back in the NFC championship game.

No, bro this was a fluke. Theres so much poo wrong with this team its unbelievable. In 2004 we lost Steve Smith and it just took time to adjust to him being out. This... This is another level, that will not be fixed without coaches beings fired and about 12 holes being fixed on offense and defense.

Just because there's so much wrong with this team doesn't mean last year's team was a fluke.

Injuries have had a massive impact this year just like they did in '04. We'd lost a ton of close, winnable games this season and then tonight happened.

No, thats exactly what it means. Injuries are not the reason this team sucks dick.

It's not the only reason, but it's a big reason.

Like I said, we'd lost a lot of winnable games up until tonight. The injuries, particularly on the OL, had a huge impact on this team.

IMO, tonight's result was all about Ron's power play blowing up in his face. Had he not fuged around and lost the locker room, I still think we would've lost that game, but it would've gone down like the majority of our games this year and at least been competitive. This team quit on Ron tonight.

Ron was like a white head waiting to be popped. This team had zero identity to start the year, zero identity still up until this point. Blown coverages, dropped balls, awful QB play at times, horrid offensive line play, pathetic pass rush, and the list goes on. I don't care about the "close games" excuse, bad teams find ways to lose close games, and good teams find ways to win them. We are not a good team, and this isn't 04-05 all over again, there is too much wrong.

It didn't have to be a fluke but Rivera and Dave seem to want to make it that way.

I get letting Norman walk. But God damn did we have to draft 3 CBs. You could have taken Bradberry and signed a vet. Then put our picks to good use.

Nah man don't you get it? We needed to draft Sanchez so he could cover Cooks in New Orleans. Its all making sense now.

Sort of a fluke. Cam had possibly the greatest MVP season (taking into supporting cast) ever. That level of play from Cam was unsuitable

No one on earth thought we would go 15-1, even when we were undefeated many people picked teams like the Cowboys and Giants to beat us. Even the playoffs we were underdogs to Seattle and Arizona. What does that say? nobody trusted us.

I agree with you, I'm just saying you don't blow up the entire roster.

We still have four of the top guys in the league at key postions. Cam at QB, Luke at MLB, Olsen at TE, and TD at OLB.

I was wishy washy on this coaching staff for awhile. I really thought they'd turned the corner last year and then Denver and Kubiak handed them their asses (twice) and they never recovered from it.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
