Unitas, Elway and Warner all had their worst statistical season after winning the MVP and then rebounded to have great seasons afterwards.

Don't bring optimism into this place. It's a pit of emptiness this time of year and it's about time that the Panthers buckle down and win three or four in a row to build up everyone's optimism again.

You can't forget that they will also be getting out of the top ten in the NFL draft with the pointless surge of moral victories. We'll be picking in the middle, screwing us out of top talents but just enough to take another defensive tackle.

Dropping in draft position sucks but to me the bigger worry is the team using the late season surge as an excuse to keep Shula and Dorsey. They both need to go. They have taught Cam all the can, we need someone with a different approach to get the things out of him that they can't. His talent is basically limitless and he by all accounts I've heard has the work ethic he just needs the right teacher to help him develop.
