2017 will be the first year the Panthers could gain measurable relief from the 9.5 Million Dollar cap number Hurney left us with.

If we can convert some of that 5.5 base salary into bonus, add a dummy year, and get the cap hit down to the 6.0 range, I think he'll stick around.  But if Fornette is somehow still sitting there when we pick, the card will be in so fast they won't even have time to go to the typical "panthers are picking" commercial.  Then a pay cut will have to be on the table.
