I'm trying to do the same and with Caffeine. They are absolutely the worst withdrawal pains ever.

I've been drinking coffee everyday for the past 7 years so I've decided it's time for caffeine and sugar to go. I'm slowly phasing out coffee by going from Large with 4 cream and 4 sugar to medium and 2 cream and 2 sugar. I plan on drinking small coffee next week with 1 cream and 1 sugar and get down to extra small black coffee. Hopefully I can ween off caffeine and sugar by February.

Coffee with natural cream, even flavored ones can tame the sugar. Coffee is good for ya. Not over doing it of course.

We drove and stayed at the Hilton saving a poo ton of money. But hey it's a dream vacation, do what floats your boat and have a blast!

Yeah, we did Disney on the super cheap in '15. 3 days and stayed at Melia, which is pretty close. It was fun, but less than ideal in many ways.

Went to 5 a.m. session to begin my 6 week camp. It sucked more than i thought it would.

Its one thing going to boot camp at 18 years old, it's another being 31 years old, over the hill and overweight.

I weighed in yesterday at 213.9 lbs and hope to get down to 188 by February 23.

Keep us posted on that. Im not doing extreme stuff but now at 199 from a high of 215.

Want to be in the 185-190 range and become a Kempo stud.

Awesome. I was thinking about doing a running diary given it is only 6 weeks long.

Today I felt like crap all day. Headaches (I think a combination from extreme workout, lack of sleep and caffeine withdrawals).

You were about the same weight as me so glad to see others on the journey too. What are you doing for the weight loss?

When its cold months, interval training and low carbs. When its warm tons of walking some jogging.

But im a big fan of weekday/wkd eating. I try  to avoid carbs or high calorie beers m-thrs and use the wkds as my cheat days. I always eat eggs for breakfast to load up on protein. Maybe fruit or oatmeal.  No sodas.

Veggies as much as possible and lean meats.

I start lifting this week twice a week. Cut is what im looking for.

Other things are push ups and pull ups when im bored.

Just keep it fresh and fun.

Ain't weight loss the goal every year?

I was about 197 at Thanksgiving at my heaviest. Dropped to 192 after Christmas because I did a three day juice cleanse and watched what I ate. Now I'm hovering around 186. Just dieting so far, eating less and eating better.

I was 180 for like three years before I jumped up this summer when my gym jacked up my rates by 20% a month and I cancelled my membership. Might head back to a gym at some point. No Panthers football on Sundays will help, I always make snack foods and sit on the couch all day during football season.

So an update on my boot camp.

I lost 2 lbs in 4 days so far which is nice. I've been putting in a lot of work, following the strict diet and working out really hard at the camp but I do not know how my wife lost 3 lbs when she does everything half ass.

I successfully weened myself off caffeine. I haven't had coffee since Sunday morning and I feel great. I was going to puke on Monday and slowly, reduced my coffee intake from small, to half decaf, to 3/4 decaf, to nothing today. I feel great knowing I got it out since I depended on coffee for the last 7 years.

I have not had sugar in my body since Sunday either and I feel great knowing that I have cleaned up my diet. Eating every 2 1/2 hours, 6 oz of protein for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, 3 oz for my snacks inbetween.

I hope to get under 210 by Monday.

Good update. I still think some coffee has its benefits overall.

But def cutting out sugar can only help. Maybe replace coffee with hot green tea and get a smaller jolt but get the fat burning that comes with it and the immune system boost.

Keep it going man.

    • yeah, but the actual jersey Bryce Young is wearing is not the same jersey you are buying from Fanatics.
    • i just feel like i read this he says she says poo all the time over & over again  on the internet  TV  work ,in public & then i think back to myself oh what a sick slandermongering world we live in now. ts just like those National Enquirer magazines you find in the grocery store at the checkout counter which are nothing more than complete & utter BS  & more often than not when you assume something then you make an ASS out of U & ME. so chill &  let the courts do their job & if he is guilty well he is guilty  LOL either or this has nothing at all whatsoever to do with Carolina Panthers football
    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
