his own players hated him and the bucs never won another playoff game after 2002.  gruden is massively overrated and always has been.  he's in the company of billick, switzer, and now kubiak as far as super bowl winning coaches go..

e: and yes as has been pointed out he ran a pointlessly complex, verbose west coast system that would probably require a roster rebuild

He fawns over the Panthers when he commentates our games, I think that's the root of it. People forget our 300 yard rushing games against his shitty teams, he's managed to build himself back up into a great coach in people's minds entirely through being a good announcer.
