I could back the demarcus walker pick, I just feel with cam's tendency to wait for receivers to become open, rather than having that elite anticipation to throw receivers open, that Dede could end up being huge for us. We lack that top speed other than Ginn who's on the tail end of his career, while even being bad at catching has been a huge contributor for us, by providing elite speed.

For me its either DE in the first, or wait til the 3rd-4th round, since its a deep class for pass rushers, I just figured since we only have 2 DE signed through next year, that we'd most likely find a starter during free agency, allowing our DE draft pick more time to develop

I can back the double dipping OL instead of targeting 2 Safeties, I think that Dion Dawkins is gonna be a solid tackle in the pros, he has the size and athleticism, just needs to refine his technique. I went the Safety route cuz I believe we have better depth at OL compared to the safety, so long as we stay relatively healthy, compared to the safety position

Yup that's a great draft in my opinion. I like the offense in the first four picks, I think that the organization needs to balance out so many defensive oriented drafts in the recent past with an offense heavy one for a change will be good for the team. That being said this is the one I just did (Fournette was taken by the Jets)

I like those choices, cant go wrong with D'Onta Freeman aka Stewart 2.0, idk bout smoot gotta do some research, but I'm starting to grow on zay jones, seems like he'd be a great slot receiver, and evan berry would be a great 6th round pick, giving us a good returner, not so big on biegel, seems more like a 3-4 olb then a 4-3 DE, overall solid though i'd be happy with that

The organization has enough money to get high profile players for both those positions if they let a few people go.

I could see the Panthers axing Byrd, Bersin to get this to work. Just felt like Davis and Westbrook were too good to pass. Wouldnt mind having the Steelers "problem" with a really good stable of Wide Receivers. Westbrook and Ginn are speed guys. KB, Funchess are possession receivers, Corey Davis is the well rounded playmaker. KB probably starts the season but should be an open competition among all the others for the #2 spot funchess be damned.

This is a really deep draft for WRs apparently, just from doing about 10  mocks thus far. Everytime I'm selecting in rounds 4-8 theres alot of WRs that are near the top of the big board. There's also a number of quality RBs too that were floating around in rounds 3-6

That being said I hope we spend at least 1 of our top 4 picks on offense, ideally 2 or 3 of them. Panthers organization for whatever reason loves to front load drafts with defense pretty much every year (with the Benjamin being a huge need and exception, and Funchess being similar) .

Getting a younger RB to take pressure off of Cam and cover for Stewart when he gets injured/spell him would do wonders for the offense. A TE like Leggett could make our offense way more dynamic with two pass catching threats at the position and he could learn from arguable the best TE in the game in Olsen. Getting a speed demon WR like John Ross or DeDe Westbrook would be great to have a Ginn replacement as he's getting older too. 

The problem is this draft is like you said backloaded with alot of offense talent. If the panthers organization  takes that to heart they might go all defense again in the first few rounds .

In Free Agency the first thing they should do is sign Short do whatever it takes to do that. Don't want another Josh Norman fiasco to wreck the draft and throw the defense off. Stewart is injury prone and takes up too much Cap, he needs to be restructured. Tolbert needs to go, if we draft a TE high then Dickson needs to go, and Ginn might be released depending if the Panthers get a speed WR in FA or the draft. Addison might be a cap casualty but I think he has priority #2 in being resigned after short.

Keeping Short and Addison, they should focus on getting the two best Free Agents they possibly can. I would say DeSean Jackson is #1 on the list even if we end up keeping Ginn as well thats a good problem to have two deep burners on your offense and Cam has always been good at throwing deep passes (if he gets enough time). #2 should either be Eric Berry, Jason Pierre Paul, or the best available Offensive Tackle . Berry will most likely be franchise tagged but its possible something goes sour (like JNO last season noone was expecting that to happen) then the Panthers have to do whatever it takes to sign him.  Pierre Paul might be asking for a massive contract but the Panthers can afford it this off season.

If the organization finally decides to pull their heads out of their asses and take a risk on signing a big name or two that could work miracles for our team. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that their conservative cheap tactics have served to keep this franchise in perpetual mediocrity .
