Normally I'd agree that we should need to run the ball, but Dallas shut down one of the league's best in Brandon Jacobs. Not only that, but their line is very quick to shut down outside rushers (and yes, I know we have very versatile backs that can easily break through the middle).

So yes, we do need to run the ball, but in the event we aren't successful with it, we need to really incorporate our backs in the passing game, as well as working in (potential) pass-catching threats like Rosario, Goodson, and maybe even Moore.

we can't afford to use Goodson much in a game this big. This game comes down to Steve Smith and ONE other recieving threat to make some plays. Dallas will shutdown the run until we prove we can hurt them in the air.....and we have that ability. Hopefully no dumb deep routes to Moose. Last year and this season they are using him on too many vertical routes.....Moore or someone needs to be put in position to take advantage of little coverage attention.

I think Jake will have a nice game and we'll run the ball well. We'll score enough to win. Our defensive game plan should be focused on making Romo uncomfortable in the pocket. Particularly after last week, he'll be pressing, and he's not good when he presses. The Cowboys are not a team you want to be passive against. If we are, we will lose.

Hopefully the coaches see that too.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
