Is Joe Mixon definitely off of our draft board?

She called him a racial slur, hit him, spit on him, and lastly pushed him.

I'm not saying I would've hit her.  But, if a female spits on me.  That rage I have inside me of is probably coming out.

There are many alternatives to responding violently to a smaller and anatomically inferior human being. The best option being walking away before it escalates to a level where you want to physically respond. Regardless of how a person is wronged, there are some circumstances that are simply inexcusable.

This is awesome how all the saintly peps get on here and say Mixon is an animal for hitting a woman and you should never do it! It's wrong but in a situation like that no one can say what they would or would not do!  Spitting in your face?! Calling you a racial slur?! Hitting you?! Yeah all of you saints would have told her that you are going to report her to the police?! Right?! Not likely but I'll play your game...

Gotcha.  Give me a call when someone spits on you and you "walk away."

I got hit by a chick in middle school once

got hit by a chick in college once

that is the end of both those stories.  I'm a dude.  It didn't even hurt (no offense ladies).   You don't hit women.  No matter how they intentionally try to escalate a scenario.   I ain't never met a crazy chick I couldn't get away from (well except my wife but she is only like 19.8% crazy)

So I don't care what his reasons are.   Do not want him.

Who's to say any of these "saints" haven't experienced something similar and reacted differently? Just because some people can't contain their aggression doesn't mean that everyone behaves this way.

I'll give you more than one incident where I would have preferred the saliva than words or physical abuse I have received. You don't know my background so don't assume you know how I would respond to a situation. That's the highest level of ignorance one can have.

Fair enough, but don't say it's ignorant.  Because if someone spits on you, while you're an 18 year old man.  I guarantee you would react differently.

Didn't say they couldn't react differently but to burn the man at the stake for making a mistake is wrong! As far as containing his aggression, aren't football players taught to play with aggression? Being able to really control it comes with maturity, something that a 18 year old Mixon lacked! But now a more mature Mixon would not have made the same mistake!

As I stated already. At 18 years of age, any person regardless of social stature, circumstance, or gender is liable for their actions. You assuming I wouldn't appropriately respond due to my age is also ignorance. Maturity is subjective and not age dependent. I've met plenty of brilliant adolescents and plenty of morons who were adults.

Nobody's burning anyone at the stake. I simply said his actions are inexcusable and that I would prefer he not end up in Carolina. He is human like everyone else and deserves at least one more chance but it won't be here with us.

    • this is where the Bryce defense goes off the rails for me.  We all know Bryce isn't a deep ball chunk play QB.  He doesn't have those physical tools and he doesn't play the game w/ that mindset.  It simply is not what he is.  Then you got folks going essentially going, well actually Shaq was a very efficient 3 pt shooter this season.  He shot 50% from behind the arc and Steph Curry was only at 48%.  So yeah, Shaq is a very effective 3 pt shooter.  Don't say he isn't a 3 point shooter.  Meanwhile, Shaq went 1 of 2 on the season and Steph shot 9343924 3s.  Russell Wilson is a deep ball chunk QB.  Baker is. Geno was his comeback season (best in the league that year I think is the correct call).  That's the Canales pass tree. EVERY QB throws deep at some point.  Arguing you can find a good grade when they went deep one week is just that.   No one can argue Bryce plays the game like a young Wilson throwing f you hail marys downfield.   Jake Delhomme fits Canales more than any Carolina Panther QB.  Teddy Bridgewater can grade out efficiently on his deep passes.  That doesn't make him a deep ball chunk QB.  2 totally different convos.    It would be better for everyone IMO if our org accepted what the unicorn was and built a team around that given they invested so much in him.....which is the criticism I started day 1 when they put him in Frank Reich's offense.  He didn't fit that.  He doesn't fit the Canales tree either.    NFL is about fit more than anything and it's what Carolina gets most wrong.  We essentially run offenses we don't have the QB talent for and you can say the same w/ the 3-4 D.  That's the Bryce era.
    • THE David Moore !?!?! We're saved. I expect TMac to have 200 catches, 3k yards, 20 TDs and be uncoverable this year with all the information he can get from watching our HoF WR David Moore.
    • I didn't see anyone post about this, we signed Hendon Hooker to our practice squad. With Dalton hurt and looking like shite, could he perhaps roll into the season as our backup?
