The videos of the UK players crying in the lockerroom just fuging suck. I can't stand UK and Calipari, but damn, those are still 18, 19 year old kids who just lost the biggest game they've ever played in. Get the hell out of their lockerroom and give 'em some time to deal with the poo they gotta deal with.

Meh, I kinda felt bad for them at first.  But, then I was like these dudes haven't been to class since December.  They could come back, all of them, and win a Title next year if they cared.  But, they won't.  So, it was hard for me to feel bad for them.  I felt bad for Frank Mason losing Saturday.  And I hate Frank Mason.

Totally agree. I always hate it when the cameras are in the faces of the losing team. I don't need to see them upset to know how they feel. Leave them alone.

it was a real moment caught live. I almost started crying watching Fox and I hate Kentucky and my team won the damn game.

Sometimes it kills me that Roy doesn't call timeouts to stop runs by the other team, but in those late game situations I totally understand why he doesn't. We play a style of basketball that thrives on pushing the ball up the court and scoring before the other team even realizes that we're coming. That type of last second opportunity plays right into our hands. UK is still celebrating a bit from hitting the big tying three and here we come. Calling a timeout to set something up would've benefited UK more than us by giving the UK guys a chance to settle down and setup their own defense.

That's sports, man. Of course I think it's "funny" watching those fan reactions, but I wouldn't ever rub that in their face after a loss like that. Hell, I wouldn't even rub it in a Duke fan's face if it was against them. While it's fun to talk poo and have sports hate for other teams, Ive been on the other side plenty of times to know that poo really hurts, man.

If you guys watched the game last night and how terrible our half court offense was....you would know calling a TO there would have been a terrible idea.

People focus to much on the outcome of the shot: the point is we got a clean shot off.

Funny because I'm usually an advocate for calling the TO. But last night it was almost slow-mo after Monk hit that 3 - and I realized it was tied - I felt comfortable with the no TO. I think if the Heels were down my opinion would have been different.

Were we down to Nova by 3 when they didn't call a TO and Marcus hit that ridiculous 3 to tie it? Guess that's another example of not calling a TO, but I was definitely wanting one there. He had to triple clutch a 3 for the tie.

This. Generally speaking, the more chaotic the pace, the better the Carolina offense looks. It's what we do. We want to create as many possessions in 40 minutes as possible. While it may look like chaos to everyone else, it's what we do.

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
