Came across an interesting chart thanks to the Panthers sub at Reddit

The Reddit discussion thread is here:

Pretty surprising to see the Panthers up top in terms of most cash spent?  I haven't checked out the data, it's supposedly from Over the Cap....

Comments?

One commenter at Reddit noted that it's pretty shocking to see Panthers & Cowboys both spending the same % on the Oline.  Hmmm... we may be spending the same %, but sadly our quality doesn't match up!   Still pretty shocking to me to see how little we have allocated at WR.  I would still like to see DG bring in a veteran to provide some competition & leadership... but obviously we're getting a bit low on cash.

The reason for cowboys OL being the same, is cowboys used draft picks and Smith signed a GREAT 10 year 100 million contract years ago. 3 out of the 5 are on rookie deals, one is on a undrafted deal(Collins, the guy fell due a murder investigation). Doug free just retired too, he was the starting RT.

KB do you plan on taking this data further?

Thanks for the info on the Cowboys O line contracts.

Sorry, I won't be able to do much more with this data.  One of my colleagues is on a medical leave and so instead of the fairly quiet March & April I was anticipating on the workfront (leaving me some time & energy to do some Panthers number crunching...), I'm pulling double duty on work and things are very busy.
