PFF's live mock draft today

Perhaps this is just clickbait... but boy PFF is pulling quite a few surprises in their live mock draft today.

Solomon Thomas at 15?

Fournette to us - but at 40!!!  (They have us picking Barnett at 8)

They have the top 7 as:

Garrett

Trubisky

Allen

Lattimore

Corey Davis

Watson

Hooker

2 QBs in the top 7, yes please!   We'd have our pick of Thomas, Adams, Fournette.... WOW.  Best case scenario for sure.

The only thing right is 2 QBs taken in the top 5 which will push OJ Howard down

Panthers will pick up Fournette at 8 the move back up to grab OJ Howard.

I don't want to know what you do come Draft Day and we don't walk away with either Fournette or Howard.

Chris Collinsworth has published his own 1st round mock.  Now THIS seems VERY realistic to me.  Again, as in the past 10 days or so, all of a sudden, there are QBs showing up in the top 10.  Basically, even if you don't think they're top 10 talents, if you need a QB, you need a QB, and some are going to go off the board early.  It's the NFL.  It's what you do.

1. Garrett

2. Thomas

3. Allen

4. Watson

5. Cleveland trades up to take Trubisky.

6. Lattimore

7. Hooker

8. Carolina Panthers

Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU

This pick is tough. Better players may be on the board, but I can’t get the idea of Fournette playing with Cam Newton out of my mind. Can you imagine a read-option with those two? What makes the read-option so difficult to defend is that you end up a half-step too slow getting to the ball carrier while reading the QB/RB mesh point, and whether that is Fournette or Newton, you have a problem on defense. Good luck with that arm-tackle. In any other offense, Fournette would be a two-down player, but the Panthers like to grind it out with power, and by the fourth quarter, those two monsters will have you worn out. I know they want to take carries off Newton and help that offense line with play-action — Fournette should deliver both. Now the Panthers just have to hope a decent tackle is still there in the second round.

PFF Draft Pass Stat: Led the nation with 85 forced missed tackles in 2015.

9.  Barnett

10.  John Ross

I could see this happening just like this....

The players I like the most:

1.) Garrett - Has the perfect sack artist build. That's enough to go #1. High ceiling.

2.) Fournette - Only compares to the best RBs who ever played the game. If you don't get this mack truck down, then he's gone.

3.) Lattimore - Has the speed to stick to any WR like glue. Rare prospect.

After these 3 things get tough.

4.) Adams - When a big safety glides around like a smaller safety you know you have a superior athlete, and the potential for huge collisions.

5.) Thomas - Not a sack artist, but a good solid DE with the heart of an angry badger.

6.) Allen - Not a sack artist, but able to deliver extreme violence at the point of attack. Bulky monster ready to maul.

I don't want to spend too long on this so that's the top 6 imo.
