You want to talk about the quickest way to piss the entire fan base off

I don't see how that move would do that at all..

You have literally no young talent at that position and your top 3 at the position are over 30 years old 2 in retirement phase of their career..

For a team that bases it's defense on pass rush and stopping the run with a dominate dline. This is a big problem going into the future..

Borderline thinking to far in the future, wouldn't mind it if it happened but what if the next draft puts us in position to draft a even better de prospect? That's how I kinda feel about the butler pick, if Allen were to fall to 8, barring us plan on using him at de, I think we'd pass due to the butler pick in last years draft. Slippery slope

Then you draft him.. My DE double dip is a early pick and a later round pick.. A 5th or 6th rounder shouldn't stop you from drafting a player next year..

My concern with double dipping st DE with an early picks and then a late round flier is that you'd probably just be drafting that late round guy for someone else. We're not carrying six DEs and I doubt a late round pick could beat out anyone currently on the roster. We'd just be hoping he'd clear waivers so we could put him on the practice squad. I think it's Loren likely that we take one DE in the first three rounds this year and then do the same again next year.
