Just for the heck of it.  Drew some scenarios up in my head.

So throwing them out there and wonder what you guys think os the best.

A.

1st: Fournette at 8

2nd: Chris Godwin at 40, Teez Tabor at 64

3rd: Tanoh Kpassagon

4th: George Kittle

5th: TJ Logan

B:

1st: OJ Howard

2nd: Obi Melfonwu at 40, Curtis Samuel at 64

3rd: Perine

4th: Daeshon Hall

5th: Sam Rogers

C: Trade down to 12 with Cleveland and thrown in our 6th. recieve #12, #65, and 2018 2nd

1st: McCaffrey

2nd: Takkarist McKinley 40, Cordrea Tankersley at 64

3rd:  Marcus Maye at 65, Leggett, (package 4th and 5th and move backup to 3rd), Carlos Henderson

D: Same trade as above with Cleveland

1st: Gareon Conely

2nd: Evan Engram at 40, Zay Jones at 64

3rd: Demarcus Walker at 65, Perine, (package 4th and 5th to move back up into 3rd), Justin Evans

E: most extreme one.  Houston feels they are only a QB away from being a SB conteneder and tries to move up to get that missing piece to try to  get there while they are this close.  Houston moves up to 8.  Panthers recieve: #25, #57, 2018 1st and 3rd

1st: Cam Robinson at 25, (Package 40 and 57 and move up to 22) David Njoku at 22

2nd: Ahkello Witherspoon at 64

3rd: Carlos Henderson

4th: Daeshon Hall

Can't say I love any of those scenarios. A. got ruined when I saw Goodwin at 40.

My dream draft while balancing the realistic options goes.

8.  Corey Davis WR ( Assuming Fournette,Thomas and Adams are gone).

40. Teez Tabor CB

64. Evan Engram TE

75. Tarell Basham DE via trade (package 112,152,192 and 242)

98. Wayne Gallman RB

Godwin is quietly shooting up the board.  Putting up 2,000 yards the last 2 seasons in a run Heavy offense. Put on a show in the rose bowl vs USC.

Big at 6'1 210, hands catcher, his best routes and plays are what Cam throws the most.

Fast at 4.42, did Better than Curtis Samuel in the quickness drills at the combine.  one of the better route runners in this class.  would end up a steal at 40

Damn, so glad you responded. I need to go back and watch Goodwin. My brain is mush right now. Spent most of the day watching games and I confused him with Samuel I believe. I'll check him out tomorrow and get back to you.

Don't get me wrong Samuel is a great athlete to. It's easier to see his quickness in a highlight real due to the system he played at Ohio State moving all around as much in the back field as in the slot like Percy Harvin did at Florida

    • Facts it's still crazy that they made him sell over that especially considering what some of the other owners have done.  JR was a rich 80 year old white man from the south I'm not at all surprised about him making some "inappropriate" comments about what a woman is wearing water is wet what a surprise. That's just the way things were done during his time, and he should and did get punished for his actions by paying some hefty fines, but it definitely wasn't something that he should've been forced to sell his team over.  I'll never forget him insulting Peyton Manning during a negotiation, reportedly belittling the quarterback’s knowledge of player safety and asking, “Do I need to help you read a revenue chart, son?
    • Like many of the old heads, I’ve been here for a long time.  I got a lot of respect for everyone on this board for your dedication to this team.  We’ve all been through it during the tougher years. At this point in life, I’m not one to judge anyone’s level of dedication, or their reasons why anymore.  Time, and a lot of bad football, will do that.  For me, it’s simple.  We share a common bond.  For that, I love and appreciate all of you crazy SOB’s. For me, last season was at a minimum, entertaining.  BY lead a young team to multiple come from behind 4th qtr wins.  That showed me heart, and that he has the clutch gene.  That’s the wildcard intangible.  For me, that was fun to watch even  if it was mindbogglingly frustrating at times.  Over the past two seasons, we have progressively built a better team around him.  On paper, the defense should be better this season.  That’ll help.  Let’s see what he can do as the other guys continue to develop too.  Besides, his contract is cheap for a few more years, and we just made some smart cap decisions during the draft. Let’s see how it shakes out.
