I have to say, this kid has done some pretty good things in the limited time I have seen him.

Sure, the competition he is going against isn't that great, but he is making some good reads and some good throws out there when he needs to.

I haven't really looked to see if anyone else here is pointing this out, but I thought I would give him his own topic.

I think we need to PS him, if he is eligible (I haven't checked.)

DA looks like hot garbage lately. I don't know what is up with him.

Gilbert's style reminds me a lot of Favre and Delhomme, lol...

I'm not saying he's that talented, but he has shown a lot more good than bad so far.

He's getting some age on him for a QB.  He's been a great backup and locker room mentor but all good things must come to an end.  As much as I appreciate what he has done for this team, I too, have to say it is time to go after this season.

He might have his best chance yet to land on a team.  He's bounced around the league as a camp arm for several years I think but he may have landed in the perfect spot due to DA's last legs failing him.   

This late in the game we're pretty much stuck with him if DA gets cut.  Not the worst situation to be in.

      Tepper's MO 1.Strong independent Cam or less talented yes man Bridgewater ( who was let go when questioning Rhule) 2. Strong independent Steve Wilkes or White guy yes man Riech ( who was let go after questioning front office) 3. Strong independent Bryan Burns ( gone) 4. Between CJ and Bryce you knew who was more independent and who was a meek less talented yes man child. Tepper doesn't like Strong independent people,  maybe he's low key the " r" word who knows? Look at his track record.  The Panthers will never have an Apha  dog here as long as Tepper is here.  Face the facts and past decisions.

      Two steps foward and then three steps back. Progress is always moving foward and not sliding back again. Without Dowdle's blowup games they look as bad as ever. Young and Canales haven't improved at all. The Defense has shown some life. I give the improvement factor a Meh.
