Kid is a Kony Ealy clone.

Not sure how his work ethic is compared to Ealy.

Ealy: quietly had 9.5 sacks his last year over shadowed by the other DE.

6'4 273  34 1/4 arms 4.92 (combine 40), bench 22, 31 vert, 4.45 shuttle.

Dodd: overshadowed by Lawson, 12.5 sacks to end

6'5 277  34 arms  4.86 (combine 40), bench 22, 30.5 vert, 4.44 shuttle

The other DE was Michael Sam. Kony Ealy is fuging trash and is wayyyy better than Sam ever was. Dodd should have had a better 3 cone if they participated

I wanted Dodd in that draft. Was my 2nd favorite DE from that draft behind Ogbah. I honestly haven't followed what he's done in the NFL but if the Titans have tried to use him as an OLB they've severely misused his talents. I'd absolutely be happy with a trade for him. Maybe even as high as a 3rd. Maybe a 3rd for Dodd and a 5th or something like that.

I agree, but if a team is willing to throw in the towel on him this early I'll pass given our current depth chart. We're already probably going to end up cutting a player we'd like to keep.

He simply doesnt fit their scheme

if he wants his hands in the dirt and not have to drop back hes going to have to play inside. But hes an outside pass rusher.

Kid is a prototypical 4-3 SDE

Horrible fit for a 3-4 OLB.

Would Love to have him if we could pawn off a late pick.  But who would we get rid of for him? Horton?  Were pretty deep at DE

He was a full hands in dirt DL.  His teamate Shaq Lawson wouldve been the better fit at OLB.  Considering he moved around and stood up and rushed as much as had his hands down

ha and now shaq is with the bills transitioning back to the 4-3.

Thanks for linking an article written by a fan who thinks his 2nd year DE is a bust based on the preseason performance. Lets send them our 2nd, 3rdn and 2 4ths immediately.

Uh, teams aren't always going to put potential trade bait on their official page.  Google Kevin Dodd and you'll find MULTIPLE sources in recent weeks questioning his fit there.  I even said I don't know the legitimacy or seriousness of behind the scenes talks.  But it doesn't take but a preschool imagination to see there's an opportunity for us or another 4-3 team for the right price.

He's a guy who has only appeared in 9 NFL games while missing 7 and totalling only 5 tackles and 1 sack who is also reportedly still struggling with a little getting foot injury - often a career altering or ending issue, especially for big men.

His trade value should be really, really low. Like conditional 7th rounder type low.

Marty or any other GM SHOULD argue these facts.  Buy low, sell high.  Reality is he's a 6'5, 277 pound specimen on a rookie deal and less than two years removed from a standout CFB national championship appearance followed by nearly being a 1st Rd pick at a premium position.  Conditional 7th is unreasonable and unrealistic.  No reason for the Titans to do that to what is still an asset.  We'd still have to give up something to get something.

We traded a guy this off-season who was also a former 2nd round pick just to move up 8 spots in the 2nd round and he was about the same timeframe removed from literally an all-time great Super Bowl defensive performance.

True, but our guy had doghouse issues from the start and this was the last year of his rookie deal.

Hes a DE

its these stupid ass 3-4 teams taking hand in dirt 4-3 DEs and trying to turn them in to stand up OLB pass rushers. It ruins them. The NFL is hard enough. Dont take a young guy and make him play out of position. Dropping back into coverage is not something a DE should be doing.

you make more sense when you drink.
