  1. 1. Who would you rather have if we can't keep both?

Byrd never scored a TD. Here are his career stats...http://www.nfl.com/player/damierebyrd/2553499/careerstats

1 catch for 16yds and 0TD's. To me, that and the fact that he's been here for 2 years already is the extent of his lead on Clay. That is next to nothing, IMO.

Just FTR, here are Clay's return stats from last year as a Raven...http://www.nfl.com/player/kaelinclay/2552651/careerstats

He has returned punts and kicks in real games and did it pretty well with 0 fumbles.

Did byrd not score 1 td against tampa when he played and got hurt or am i imagining things...ok Clay if he is so good why is he not with ravens its not like the ravens are lighting things up with the wr group they have... hell i did not know clay had played in a reg season game...so he is another ginn

I don't know why you keep bringing up Ted Ginn. He was a 1st round draft pick who was given every opportunity to the the #1WR. Byrd and Clay are in a completely different category of player. Whichever one makes it, or both of them, will be on the bottom of the depth chart and their real  value will be as ST'ers. To me, that gives Clay the edge because he's a better returner. If either one of them line up at WR in a regular season game, we're probably in trouble anyway.

I just like byrd. I believe they are of the same skill set.. Byrd has put in the work and should be given a legit opportunity  to display what he can do...if not they should let him go before his youth is wasted on practice squad somebody xan use him... its not fair to tell a player to work hard and show me in practice and preseason you are capable and you do that and somebody else does nothing in game but is still kept and plays in season games....Play the man or let someone else play him.

Also of note: Kaelin Clay was an All-American return specialist at Utah. Seems relevant.

History is good but we have a horrible special teams the last few years and so far both players have been even this preseason working with the same units. Nothing horrible but nothing special. I want both don't get me wrong but Byrd shows me better routes, hands, and speed imo.
