So Julius Peppers almost missing a game effectively cost us Jeremy Cash. Not a huge deal with our LB situation, but still kinda sucks.

For sure - but I always thought he was better than Norris and Jacobs. I am biased, though.

My guess is that we IRed him for something minor to free up a roster spot a week or two ago (forget who we moved up from PS, Armah maybe?) and that he's not injured enough to stay on IR all season, thus the injury settlement?

He was IR'd Saturday so we could promote Bryan Cox who would have been active if peppers shoulder was acting up

I might have been mistaken.  But he was a 2nd string guy...and I think most assumed he was above Norris and Jacobs.  But yeah we have enough LB depth to spare. I imagine he will be signed very shortly.  Just for his sake, hopefully not by Cleveland.  I would guess the Bengals are already talking to him

When we run a 4-3, Shaq is out there at the same time.  Right now, our WLB doesn't have a backup. 

It's in the past now. I just thought he was better than Norris and Jacobs. We will see how it all plays out in a few years...it's not really an impact to this year's team, anyhow.

He should have been moved to SS. Dude had alot of promise, I think he was just played out of position. 

He's not the greatest in coverage but neither was Harper.

Seriously doubt he would have been worse than Colin Jones. 

But hey, thats just my opinion.
